Hi there, I'm D. How to sum myself up in a few words? I'm a business professional in a career that I love. Politically, I lean right but that is a big topic with a lot of intricacies. I've been deliberately single for about eight years now. I've enjoyed this time to myself to better understand who I am and develop a relationship with myself. During this time, I have become independent, which is important to me. I don't think a person can be in a healthy relationship until they can first be in one with themselves and can be independent of others first. After all, if you rely on someone else for your wellbeing, can you ever truly know if you are with them for them, or for their support? I've enjoyed this time alone, but as I approach 40, I would like to find someone to share the time that I have left in this life.
I would prefer a more traditional sort of man, one that knows himself and what he wants. That seems to be so rare these days, to find a man who is unapologetic about being one. I would also like a more traditional sort of courtship, please don't send me a message expecting to fall into bed with me. That's not what I am looking for here. I would like to find someone to marry. I attend church often and am very involved in activities and volunteer work though my church, as well as children's ministry. I don't need a man to have exactly the same faith as me, but he does need to be a Christian. When it comes to different denominations, I like to focus on what they agree about rather than what they disagree about. I feel that all Christians are brothers and sisters in Christ and they should set differences aside for a common good. I have felt that meeting a man who is already a Christian is important, someone who has chosen his faith on his own first, rather than someone who is just doing it because I do. I would love to meet someone who enjoys sharing their faith with me and having long conversations about it. I feel that worshiping together is an important foundational block in a marriage.
I'm a bit of a nerd, lol. I 'm good with computers and sometimes play video games. I also love to craft. I have an entire room devoted to quilting, sewing, crochet, and cross stitching. I'm an avid movie fan and love going to the theater. My favorite food is generally seafood and I enjoy going crab fishing off the pier, although I haven't done that in awhile! I haven't been an outdoors type of person for a few years now, but camping and fishing is amazing! I'm a big fan of dogs and have had them most of my life, but since moving to the city I have not had one because I don't have the heart to keep a big dog in an apartment. So instead, I have the two best cats in the world. Yes, you heard that right, the BEST cats! lol. As far as other interests go, I would love to explore my partners interests with him. I feel a person can enjoy new interests that their partner enjoys, so I am open to exploring!
