I’m a 36 year old single mom of 2 (never thought that would happen to me-but here I am, by God’s grace). I come from a Mennonite/Evangelical background. My dad was a pastor in both evangelical and Baptist denominations. We have been to almost every denomination out there!
I am the oldest of 8 children and was homeschooled since halfway through grade 1. My family moved alot when I was young, so I’ve lived in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and BC. Most of my family still lives in Manitoba and we try to visit 1-2 times per year.
My siblings might call me bossy, my friends may say I’m emotional or a people-person. I just know I can be super determined and I’m trying to become more like Christ in every area. Daily sanctification and growth.
Going through separation and divorce with a baby and pregnancy and then two babies took a toll on me in every way, but God is so faithful! His healing hand has been at work in my life!
I’m still working on losing weight and becoming healthier to be at my best for my kids, myself and for the work God has for me, whatever that may be!
I have a sense of adventure, although I don’t like travelling far for long. I’ve been to different US states and Nigeria, Africa. I have been to the east coast and really enjoyed that. I would love to get to Hawaii, Niagara Falls and maybe even Vancouver sometime!
I play the piano (nothing to gawk over), and I like to sing (also nothing to gawk over). You can find me singing along to Christian radio or singing Sunday school songs with my kiddos. I also am a “dance when no one is watching” person lol
I really love cooking and experimenting with new recipes. I love nature but could do without the bugs. I’m also not a huge fan of hot weather.
When I was younger, I used to play alot of hockey and baseball.
I have worked as a housecleaner, babysitter, janitor, private school teacher, dishwasher, pizza maker, cashier, produce manager, meat department manager, health care aide and Day care worker. Then I had my own children. That keeps me busy doing all of the above in my own home lol
Just a note, as it is important to some more than others…I never got the covid shots. I was pregnant when they came out and I couldn’t be bothered afterwards.
I would love to be a stay at home mom with a side hustle from home. I had the security of a stay at home mom and would love to be able to give that to my children.
I went through a serious spiritual slump through my separation and divorce but God truly picked me up and placed my feet in higher ground. I often wonder how people make it through life without Him!!
I have high values and believe boundaries are important. I’m also an advocate of sexual purity and abstinence before marriage. I messed up in the two relationships I have had and am more determined than ever to stand fast. It would be amazing to meet a man who felt the same way!
I attend a lovely church in my small town. Finally starting to meet new mom friends and learning how to build a life for myself and the children.
I would love it if God would have someone to share in that journey with me. I am confident there is someone out there with similar values as I have. Someone I can love and love be reciprocated. Someone who truly knows the love and faithfulness of God!
I believe God has made an order for the family but I do not believe a woman or wife’s value is less than the man’s. I believe it is vital for prayer and communication to be part of a relationship. Honesty. Respect. Love. All also important!
As a follower of Christ, I believe that the Bible trumps cultural norms and/or practices.
