Posted : 13 Feb, 2011 04:52 PM Hi Precious Ones, I have seen this oft-quoted "wise" saying elevated to scriptural authority as though it is written somewhere in the Bible. Is it really anywhere in the Holy Book? Please pinpoint it for me. It is one of the most annoying figments of intelligent religious imagination ever. Our well-crafted, intelligent-sounding quotes cannot and should not take the place of the written word of God. Yes, a woman should serve God just as the man should, and both, in order to be equally yoked, should meet in God. For a woman to be so "lost" in God sounds religious - if not ouright fanatical. So "lost" or immersed that her responsibility of social relationship with a fellow human is shifted to our God? That's heresy. The two shall be joined together implies commonality of effort - both should be seeking, yielding, and finding. Marriage is an earthly affair (for in heaven there is neither male nor female). So God says, whoso finds a wife (a spouse), finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord. There is no implication here that the woman should be "hiding" in God (who then dares the man to find HIM first before getting his prize). If a woman is considered the prize for finding God, then marital unions are in big time trouble. Are we headed back to medieval times? Your Thoughts, please!!! Post Reply

Posted : 15 Feb, 2011 10:45 AM If a woman is so lost in God she is worth her weight in gold. Her intent is to do everything His Way and His Way is what will give everyone the desire of their heart in her life. Her spouse will receive respect and submission in love, her children with know that they are loved with the teaching of character in Christ, her friends are blessed because they know her and her family will reap the rewards of her generosity in all she does.
