Ladies what are some of the red flags that come up when your first getting to know a guy either by their profile or on a date?

Men and women are radically different. Women are more emotional and usually tend to act on emotions, whereas men tend to act on something they call "Logic". Being a woman, I don't quite know what logic means.

I will stress this though, that most of the time when women vent their frustrations it's mostly because they want to be comforted or for things to turn around and be better, or for you to say something nice to her.

Men mostly focus on trying to solve the problem, unfortunately they are usually incredibly practical, almost too practical and miss the whole point of the woman's frustration, even if they're trying to help in their own way.

Which is kinda cute.

If his parent's are controlling. I know that sounds weird, but if someone is still being controlled by their parents,it makes you do a double take. Respect and taking care of one's parents is one thing, but being controlled is another.

If the guy becomes possessive, especially before you established a relationships.

Demands all your time.

Thanks dkj255 for your response to my post. I don't mind the "problem solving" approach at all.

I appreciate what you're saying about men not being good at general chit-chat, but I think most guys can attempt a question or 2 about a woman- based on a profile. But this man didn't ask me any questions; he only spoke of himself. Not to diminish the role of discernment, but I think women have a distinct intuitive nature; we know when someone is even slightly interested in getting to know us ... and when someone is only interested in using us as a mirror for their own ego.

But I've read many of the posts you've added to the forums. You express yourself extremely well ... you don't need any advice on "things to talk to a woman about." :)

(((CattyWampus))), I agree with you on the issue of one being controlled by his parents. No one wants to end up being the puppet of a puppet.

Smoking: I can't tell you how many time I've met attractive guys, but then they light a cigerette, and any attraction I feel for them is over!!

if they don't treet everyone with kindness, and respect.

if we go to a restarant and they don't tip, or are rude and demanding to the wait staff.

AND the topper:

I went out with a guy once cause parents said to-I said I enjoyed church, and talking about God, He said big waste of time! next day I said HE was big waste of time.

Yeah, not having a relationship with Jesus is a bit of a problem! (cool, I got to use that smiley appropriately!)

Now about this male ego thing...

Come on guys, we all know we have them (AKA pride) - care to comment?

What about the ladies - have you had any negative experiences regarding the male ego???
