Online friendships........

......as requested by another CDFF member (my good friend Sisygirl....smile!), I was encouraged to write here the same post written on the guys side, so as to give the ladies the same opportunity to give their opinions! Well here it goes....my sisters in Christ, would you want to maintain a fellowship/friendship with a gentlemen online you haven't yet met in person, but had the possibility for romance? And if you both did take the chance to explore the romantic side of things, finding out that friendship is a better fit, would or could you want to remain just "friends"?

(I've asked this assuming the level of maturity between parties would dictate the outcome, but because of my own past experiences, it didn't always work out ok and to me finding good friends is almost impossible!)

You're very sweet Joy!

Much appreciation for giving me an opportunity of sharing the little that crossed my mind first time seeing this on a mans' site.

My answer is a little different from what you've asked. I'm hoping that I'll make a little sense somehow.

The only difference here is that, we've never really tried anything romantic and then changed from pursuing romance into friendship.... It was just friendship from the word go. It's possible to pursue online relationship/friendship/fellowship with someone you haven't met inperson before, THOUGH it turns to get difficult as the relation grows strong, weather be it's friendship or relationship. At times the other part is hurting over something. You don't know what to say as he shares how he feels with you,... you only wish you were there to hold hands with him through prayer.

The only advantage that sustains both is making most of what you two have,... Which is communication. Relating is communicating anyway hey? You work on getting this right in a way that one (if not both) communicates until you reach a level were you can now pick his/her tone, mood, facial expression and more right here on line. You argue and make up on line. Now one withdraws and walks away from the other, fore communication is all you guys have. Trust me the day you'll be meeting inperson, its gonna rock coz you're so familiar with this person that distance was no longer an issue, it was like he/she was always there with you.

That has been my experience with my online friend.

I'm not in-line with what you've asked, I do hope this shares a drop of help in what you were seeking to find. Thank you darling!
