This can include tone of voice, facial expressions, arm movements, whole body movements, volume of your voice, facial hair that obscures your features and makes you hard to read, distracting clothing and/or jewlery and/or tattoos, and general mannerisms such as while you talk, chewing gum, "Ums", "Ahs", etc. My suggestion is to have a trusted friend or someone you respect either talk to you and give you feedback, or watch you talking to someone and then give you feedback. There are a few things in people's characters that twist things in their owns minds. Jealousy, selfishness, insecurity, and pride are the big ones. Doesn't really matter what you say, or how you say it...they will twist it in their own head. If it's you, then just try to be honest and say what you mean enough and maybe they'll trust you after you earn it. If they don't, then it's probably some pretty deep character flaws that they need to work on themselves. :peace::peace: Post Reply
