I work at Trader Joes (a supermarket.) During the course of a day, many times, we will carry someone's groceries out to their car because they're unable. Whether it's a 300+lb. linebacker with a tore up shoulder, or a little old lady, we'll help you out to the car. I've noticed that when women point out their car, they identify it by color first. Which is fine, however, I'm colorblind. So saying it's the gray one in a lot with three hundred cars doesn't work for me. So I ask them what kind of car they have. At which point, they say "I don't know." The guys 9/10 times know the make and model. So I ask you ladies, how do you identify your car? How would you tell yours from an identical one? What if it got stolen, what would you tell the police to look for? And overall, why not learn the make and model of a car? Not all cars, just your own?

I would say a red ford focus 2007 with two college stickers on the back window and three (red, yellow and gray) parking stickers on it as well

I'll grab JesusLoves and we'll wander around the parking lot together looking for the white Malibu hatchback with my daughter's trash in the front seat and toys for AWANA prizes in the back.

Yeah - Trader Joes! They are terrific!

I tell people I drive a silver 4-door Kia Optima. If they need something more I tell them about my college sticker and I could even tell you my license plate number.

Funny thing -- the other day at work a contractor we hired to do some training was going to follow my boss to another site. My boss said "What car do you drive?", meaning I'll spot you and make sure you are behind me while I drive to the other location. Our contractor says, "Ah, um, its..... its..... its...... brown" I had to hide my snickering laughter. See -- it isn't women only.

One of my cars is a 1998 Dodge minivan. Since there a lot of identical ones out there, I placed a bright orange and black Harley Davidson bumper sticker on my back bumper to help me identify it. Now it has 2 other stickers on each side from radio stations in Cincinatti and Seattle. There's a very slim chance of another car like mine to be identical now.

Well, if it was the police, I would give the officer the license plate # in addition to describing the vehicle. I'd say that it's a silver Honda Civic coupe in good condition and that it has an Eiffel Tower ornament thing hanging from the review mirror by a sheer black ribbon, and the pocket in the driver's side door has 2 pink fabric CD cases, and the pocket in the passenger side door is stuffed w/ AAA guide books and maps, and other than that's it's clean, except for the trunk. And if we're not still sure it's mine, we can look under the hood. Mine is the one that has a continuously variable transmission--that weird thing under the hood that some mechanics are unable to identify and have to ask me what it is. Okay, it wasn't actually a mechanic. It was the Jiffy Lube guy. I told him not to touch it if he didn't know what it was.

Oh yeah, mine has 2 parking permit stickers on it too, and a college sticker on it.
