I see a lot of womens profiles that will show their age as let's say 57 and then the acceptable range for the guy is 45 - 56.. it's surprising how often is see this. ... really? 1 year makes that big a difference? ...but men are from mars so help me out ladies, what's the real story? :-)

I think the preferred age range is not set on stone. If you really are interested in a woman and you are beyond her preferred range biologically but feel and act younger why not try to reach to her, there is no harm in trying. The other way around maybe true also.

Maybe the 1 year younger difference is to catch your attention and kind of say I maybe 57 but feel just in my 45 haha. The real story for me is, I am 44 and kind of nothing changed but my age. I feel like in my 20s, still what we call here childish and I am just reminded when I look at my daughters taller than me 18 and 20 and oh my, I should be very old already.

Men have profiles like that, too.

Seems they want someone younger than them, no? I'm sure the reasons are many and various.

Personally, I think the weirder ones are when a girl is 24 and her age range is 27-40. Who seriously thinks they're too mature to date anyone two years older than them?

I understand your point, and I'm sure there are a lot of people who look, act, and feel younger than their age. I guess to me it seems odd that if you do feel, act and look younger that some women think that there must not be ANY men their age who would be a good fit.

For myself, my second wife was 30 and although physically we were a good fit, we are in to totally different stages of life. I don't want to get older while the person I love remains basically the same... sounds horrible to me! But it's hard to find physically fit women who are 60, and still want to go surfing, skiing, etc etc.

Anyway thanks for your thoughts.

I had 45 to 55 or my profile, but guys my age wouldn't talk to me! younger guys talked to me in the chat rooms, sent winks, and flirted with me, so I changed to all ages. guess I'm a cougar, and did'nt know it!:dancingp:

That's funny!.... a closet cougar :-)

Who knows about this stuff, sometimes the ones you think would be perfect wouldn't look twice and the ones that seem like they are not a fit think you're the greatest thing since sliced bread!!

All i would say on this that you don't need a someone who is old as your parents, nor anyone who is too young to be a brother or sister, especally who is lock-up age:rolleyes: !!!
