I know this a predominantly, guy ask girls. But I wanted to know from the fellow female population of this site.

Do you girls ever get hooked on the thrill of the chase?

For example, you start liking a guy and he plays hard to get or whatever and then when he starts showing that he might have feelings for you, you suddenly get cold feet.

Just a question I thought I'd throw out there :)

No, I do not get hooked on the chase. Chasing is fun and exciting....... for a very short while. I don't want to stay there. My heart is on the long-term. Chasing is just one of the first phases a relationship goes through.

I do not draw back when a guy starts to show interest. Unless he does something creepy like send me 1 dozen roses, a teddy bear, and a box of chocolates after knowing me a week. (don't do that, guys! it is not romantic -- it is very creepy)

Oooohhhhhh.I see! I got a question to ask then. Why most of you girls only reply to a guys message? Is that part of the "chasing process" as well or you just don't have anything to ask the guy? Most of the time,i talk to a lady on the phone & it's only me who makes a call or on here (CDFF)a girl only feplies to my messages.(To:Miss Universe,do'nt worry about asking anything at all, even if it's directed to a certain gender. If you've notice, most guys ask a question to the ladies,& most of the time it's the guys who replies back).

Sorry missamerica, I was down at the post office trying to get back my roses, teddy bear and chocolates. To answer your question, yes they get hooked in a different way. Those women that chase aren't into the chase, they want to catch. The women that get hooked are those who want to be chased, they want to be wanted, they don't want to be caught, just wanted. But if their prey is to easily attracted they lose interest. The "worthy" prey is a man who is either a Alpha male or has many female admirers. She will attempt to attract him, when she succeeds she will lose interest.

I don't do the chasing (beyond the first wink or message), so no, I don't lose interest or get cold feet once the interest is returned. I have, however, had men who seemed to be chasing me, and as soon as I started to return their interest...poof! They disappeared.

A lot of women do. Don't worry. It's not weird. It's really just the way a lot of people are wired.

Interesting insights guys! Just a question I thought I'd throw out there to see what people thought/experienced etc.

I think you're right Tulip that is how many people are wired and for some it takes that special person to break that pattern.
