Suppose a extremely wealthy person at your church came to you and said they felt like God told them to support you at your current salary plus expenses to do any kind of missionary work any where in the world.

Where would you go? And what kind of missionary work would you do?

Ooo! Ooo!! Pick me! Pick me! :applause: :applause:

:applause:

I would work with orphans and widows - Russia and Sri Lanka for sure. And wherever else God would send me.

Actually, I've always wanted to do this FOR someone else -- but alas, God has not gifted me with wealth.

Great question!

I would love to work with an orphanage. I'm not too picky about a place; I just love kids!

It would also be wonderful to work in Hawaii. Many of the islands are remote and not densely populated. It would be awesome to go there with a team to do a church plant!

That would be a hard decision to make as there is so much to be done. One mission that is on my mind right now is the water project.

"Relieving hunger in Africa has to begin with access to clean water. It may seem simple, but we forget that without access to a reliable source of water, food is hard to grow and even more difficult to preserve and prepare. It takes huge amounts of water to grow food.

Water is fundamental to relieving hunger in the developing world. Sometimes, areas that experience a lack of water suffer because of poor water management. But more often it is a relatively simple economic issue that can be addressed. A small investment in a clean, safe source of water can have a huge impact. We are working on water projects that not only provide clean drinking water but also make crop production possible.

In fact, one of the most encouraging things we find when we return to sites where wells have been installed is the many small gardens that have popped up all around...."

I would want to work with teenaged girls, if I had the patience for it, which I don't. But they are the future mothers, who have such a huge hand in shaping the children of tomorrow whether people recognize it or not. I would want to teach girls how to respect themselves, and what the Bible *really* means by "submission" and that Christianity isn't about oppressing women (like many paint it to be).

With my current spiritual gifts, maybe I would just go to another modern country to live as a more positive American example than the stereotypes and work with their impoverished.

Ooh, ooh, ooh, I take it back! College kids who think they're better than everyone else because they are getting 'educated'! Teach them about humility and serving and stuff like that.

I would start in my small town where I live. So many kids without coats, eating one meal a day that is their free lunch at school, find a way to help them, some don't have any parental guidance. They have nothing to do but run the streets and get into drugs and alcohol. I would like to be able to change this!! Be able to one by one change their lives for the better. Show them that they are loved and cared about. Show them the love of Christ!! I have a heart for kids!!!
