Admin	Question for ladies here who are 40+ Posted : 10 Mar, 2011 06:22 PM I've been on this site for 1 1/2 years, hoping and praying that I will one day meet God's choice for me. I have noticed a common theme on CDFF and want to know if it is just me, or what? I have read several profiles of men my age (40+) here, where the gentleman sounds like the kind of Christian man I might like to meet. However, when I get to the bottom of his profile, the age range says 18 to 33 or 34, etc. Can someone help me to understand why a man in his 40's, who says he is marriage minded, would think this is an appropriate age range? What could a middle aged man have in common iwth someone who just graduated from high school, or college? I asked my two daughters who are in their 20's and they said they would never date someone old enoug to be their father. I just don't get it? Are middle aged men really that closed minded about women in their 40's? I believe I have actually aged well, and think I have a lot to offer. But here, it seems like slim pickins. Just wondering. It�s a little bit flattering, but I also find it a little creepy. I�m old enough to be their father!! I can see why a guy in his 40s would want someone in their 30s, if he is looking to have a family. But to marry someone half their age? That�s is too young for me. I have nieces that age. The only things that I can think of is that they either wants some �hoty�, or are looking for someone who will not stand up to them, someone who will practically worship at their feet. For me, I would prefer to find someone who has similar experiences. I have been in singles groups before and started to reminisce about an 80s TV and watch everyone look at me with that blank stare. I felt so out of place. Post Reply

My gut feeliyng for men or women looking more than 10 years younger are looking for a trophy or controlling the other. Why would I like to raise anymore Kids whether they are the ones I would like to get involved or even herself. Post Reply

I didn't look to see where you live but I live in California and the older guy looking for youth (and perfection) in females is rampant here. It seems with quite alot of them that they lived a single, selfish life, then they hit their forties and it's time for the trophy wife! Best wishes that you find someone :) Jenny Post Reply
