OOOOOH CURVY LADIES.......

I'm a very, very curvy woman and find that men treat me with a double standard. Please let me explain.

They love to check out my body and say things about it, usually conspicously, but sometimes on the sneak tip. Yet, these same men talk about me not dressing modestly enough..lol

Of course my jeans look like they fit because my behind is huge. Of course my shirts look a certain way, because my cleavage is really full. What's a girl to do?

Flat chests and bottoms get away with a lot more than fuller figures. I'm not trying to divide my ladies, I'm just saying, why don't people understand that some body types are a little harder to dress down.

If I had a man with giant muscles, of course I don't want them hanging all out, however, even if he was in a sweater, you would still be able to tell he's a muscular man.

In essence, how do you dress down curves, and why should I hide everything the Lord has blessed me with? Why not embrace it respectfully?

I wouldn't be too concerned. Those guys are usually the ones that call themselves "Christians", but their actions betray them. I think if your doing what you can to dress appropriately, then the guys are the issue and not you. I think they need to get their mind right. Just my thoughts though.

As stated above modest being the key term used here and you demonstrated what a women who seeks to live a life of holiness should be concerned about the inner person which is more important than outer adornment. p.s There is nothing wrong with women who have a curvaceous figure.

Well if you're REALLY bothered then you could try those black baggy ninja outfits some muslim women wear. No good if you're planning on a holiday to Paris though...

Sweetie, I have the same problem. I just buy shirts a size or two bigger than I really need, so they aren't skin tight, and I make sure my jeans are loose enough to breathe in and aren't low rise.

Designers follow trends, and the current trend is for young women to let it all hang out for anyone to look at. If we lead by example, and raise up the next generation of young ladies to respect themselves and their bodies, the trend will eventually change and designers will start making clothes to reflect that.

Men are double minding when it comes to womens bodies and clothes. They will look at any woman walking by, simply because they don't leave much to the imagination, but deep down, men really want a woman who dresses respectfully so they can bring her home to meet mom.

Men simply don't respect a woman who doesn't respect herself.

Ladies, you don't have to dress like a nun, just choose clothes that fit and leave a little mystery for the wedding night.

Raphael22. I know that. I'm happy with my figure..very.

My only issue is this silly double standard that I was talking about.

dkj255, I'm not worried.

I'm still trying to believe this one. Men, men, men...can't live with em can't live without em.

As I've mentioned in a similar thread that you have posted in the ask a guy section, they are some women out there who have a very curvy & very round behind shape & even though they wear a very long & very loose dress it still looks almost short & close fitting, but it's so hard to fix & avoid. Its just that ALL women are blessed in some area in their life, whether it's their shape, their vocal chords their intellectual minds etc,God have Blessed you all in a certain area of your lives as women.
