While the reasons why are varied and quite complex, I believe two of the most common contributing factors is that we forget two things. First and foremost, we forget to ask God for his blessing BEFORE we commit, and secondly, we tend to look for what we want in a partner, instead of what we need, because while wants change with time, needs seldom do. The Bible advice is 1 Corinthians 7:1. "It is good for a man not to touch a woman." Jesus disciples said this as well. "If this is the situation between a man and his wife, it is better not to marry." (Matthew 19:10) Jesus agreed with his disciples. I agree with them as well. Post Reply
