How can there be genuineness of.....?

Acceptance in relationships'

If one hides where he/she's coming from?

And rather be paying a therapist (a total stranger) in confiding to with the past's unresolved issues that are affecting the present moment if only these were delt with...... But now again it's not too late,

The issues now is FEAR of REJECTION if one comes out and confide to the current partner. One stands rejection on the spot

Or he/she'll never hear the end of these issues whenever the two are arguing about anything else.

Can one claim that he/she has genuinely accepted the next part?

What will it ever take for one to be accepted without fear even when arguing at times.... Have a healthy argument knowing the relationship is not at all threatened by what one or both have revealed of where they coming from, that forms who and what they are today, weither be they turned out to be good or bad in your personal scale of measure?

What will it take to genuinely accept someone?

Can you friends throw your thoughts on this please!

Thank you so much dear ones' for partaking on this post.

I would say that if you are afraid of rejection with your current partner, you're probably not in a very healthy relationship, either because of hidden incompatibilities and secrets that you're afraid will destroy the relationship, or that you feel the relationship is not really based on love. If you're in a really good relationship, it's one where you stick together and help each other overcome the issues you're each having in your lives. Maybe that involves arguing, maybe it doesn't need to, but if you can argue and still hold that person's hand in the next second, then you're probably ok. Disagreement should never trump real love, there may be consequences for that disagreement, but that doesn't mean the relationship isn't still genuine. I hope that hits on some of the points you asked about.

Your reply is very mind opening and provoking more questions that I maybe won't ask now, or else i'll be confusing myself more and make this even more harder to comprehend than it already is.

I've been bothered by this dear for weeks now. Think I was in too much hurry to close this chapter (which I surely have and glad I did) and forgetten of internal wounds, and countless questions that were left without answers. This question is not only inspired by my personal experiences, when failing to find answers since the other part (my mum) has never existed in my being to answer a single question, I went over board (seaching answers from the bible) hoping to maybe find something helpful to hold on upon as an answer to some of my list of questions, ONLY to find the one i'm seeking answers from (Jesus) going through the same issue of acceptance as I currently do.

Rejection is not an issue anymore, i've learned to make peace with it. Qurstions are my big challenge now. When asking Jesus about it by seaching through He's word, He was the most rejected when offering total acceptance.

I see Him accepting the Samaritan woman who was playing all smart until she was humbled when told her worst flops, stuff she rather desired Jesus not to know about. He mentioned her flops not with an intention of judging and condemning, more of saying, "I know what keeps you jumpy from one husband to onother, desperation of love and acceptance hense coming here to draw water midday hoping not to find anyone since you're most wemans' enemy by taking their husbands"

Same goes with Ester when chosen to be the Queen in replacement of Vashti. She had to coperate with mordacai's instruction of not revealing where she was from. Can't really say the relationship was rooted lies, but wasn't based on truth either since she was accepted from no where just cause the king enjoyed her in bed. Think the relationship was more based on lustfulness than anything else. True acceptance begins with the depth of where one comes from, not taking matters at the face value cause one thinks I'm a finished product. What really made me what I am today, what could have happened?

This one is the last i'm qoating (there's so many verses I can qoate, i'm just cutting this short)

I see Moses fleeing to Midian after he has killed an Egyptian who was fighting with he's fellow Hebrew. When he got to Midian he was silent of what brought him there, only so he's accepted and entrusted with the daughter of the house as a wife.

Which reminds me of onther sermon in the church when the word was shared by young fellow brother, you could pick in the spirit that young ladies were watching him (I noted too that he was a very fine brother, the one a lady won't mind being seen in public with. Decent by appearance with brains) though I always keep to myself cause there are issues anyway since ladies don't trust me with their partners, I wasn't sure if he was someone elses' fiancee or partner of some kind. Though would have loved to challenge him and learn as much as possible if the cost was clear.

Until he mentioned that he was violent after he led us in worship, violent to a point of murder. A sense of disappointment was all over the auditorium after he said that. He felt it I think and wanted to make the record straight upfront, knowing that there's gonna be an exchange of cell# looking at the ladies behavior. Now this is me assuming from what I descern.

"I hope that hits on some of the points you asked about"
