God_is_my_Father View Profile History	The name of God forever = I AM Posted : 7 Dec, 2015 11:41 PM Exodus 3:14 And God said to Moses, �I AM WHO I AM.� And He said, �Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, �I AM has sent me to you.�� 15 Moreover God said to Moses, �Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: �The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.� Yes, this is God's name and it is forever. But it is not God's only name. And that is the mistake that some make when trying to pin people down to a single name for Almighty God. God says He is One in the Great Shema: Hear O Israel, the Lord thy God, the Lord is One. Deuteronomy 6:4 In this verse alone God uses two different names for Himself: Lord, God. That doesn't mean there are two different Gods in the verse. There is only One. He is the Holy One of Israel. Look at Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulders, and He shall be called, Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. See how Almighty God ascribes 4 different titles to One person? And Almighty God only has One name? Nonsense. Almighty, God, YHWH. That's 3 right there, and that doesn't include "I AM" Post Reply

I can help you to find the answer to that question. In short the answer is Paganism. By the time King James got a hold of his limited pool of texts; they had already been corrupted. Have you reviewed the Critical Text? Here is just one example: Jude 25 MT: To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen. CT: To the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Before all time, now and forever. Amen. It seems that the pagan worshipers of the triune god, have been very busy altering the texts that make clear, the ONE true God. The Ba'al worshipers were at work altering God's word, even before our messiah was born. Post Reply

You then used what is written in the King James Version, which you often contradict, in an authoritative way. So tell us plainly. Is YHWH the only name of the supreme being of the universe, and which is commonly referred to as God by English speaking people, or not? Post Reply

God told us his name to be remembered for all generations. Did you forget? Maybe you just missed it when you butchered God's word in your OP.
