"What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? Abraham *believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 4 Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt. 5 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, 6 just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works: 7 Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.
*The Greek word is pisteuo (Strong's G4100) which is translated into the English word believed.
"pist-yoo'-o; from G4102; to have faith (in, upon, or with respect to, a person or thing), i.e. credit; by implication, to entrust (especially one's spiritual well-being to Christ):believe(-r), commit (to trust), put in trust with."
He who *believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3:18 The word believe in John 3:18 is the same root word from Romans 4:3
The English word repent comes from 8 different Greek and Hebrew words. Make sure you know which Greek or Hebrew word is being used, and make sure you use the correct meaning for each word. To say you must repent is to say nothing, as there are so many different meanings. You must not simply fall back on the word repent as a coverall, for every situation.
1 Corinthians 14 is crystal clear about the necessity of giving a clear message: "But now, brethren, if I come to you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you unless I speak to you either by revelation, by knowledge, by prophesying, or by teaching? 7 Even things without life, whether flute or harp, when they make a sound, unless they make a distinction in the sounds, how will it be known what is piped or played? 8 For if the trumpet makes an uncertain sound, who will prepare for battle? 9 So likewise you, unless you utter by the tongue words easy to understand, how will it be known what is spoken? For you will be speaking into the air."
If you use the single English word "repent", and are not specific with regard to the original word in its proper context, you will be speaking, as it says in this passage, to the air, and not unto men, because no one will know what exactly you are trying to say.
The most common appearance of the English word repent in the New Testament, comes from the Greek words metaneo and metanoia. The root word means to change your mind. It does not mean be sorry or turn from sin. The change of mind that needs to occur is a change from unbelief to belief. Again, see John 3:18. This is the "biblical repentance" necessary for salvation.
God is not silly like man to not be detailed in His words. To say the word repent alone, is daft, God gives thorough instructions to us what to do, repent, in Godly sorrow, clearing the death of the world out of ourselves, fearing God, and not man, being strong to do it, repenting of our old ways, and converting to new ways. In unbelief we remain in our sins, without being Godly sorrow, to be unhappy with our crooked ways. It is no belief at all to not be sorry for what we do against the righteousness of God, and to remain in the same evil sins.
2 Corinthians 7:8 For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season.
9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.
10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
To not believe means we do unfruitful works of darkness, evil, because we hate the light of the Lord. Our deeds need to be reproved, we need to repent, clear all of the evil ways out, and stop hearing vanity :)
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
3 John 1:11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
Lamentations 3:40 Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.
"FOR THE LAW WAS GIVEN THROUGH MOSES BUT GRACE AND TRUTH CAME THROUGH JESUS CHRIST!!"
"Matthew 5:29: Jesus says, "For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the **TEACHERS OF THE LAW**, you will certainly not enter the Kingdom of Heaven!"
Luke 16:16: Jesus says, "The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John. {The Baptist}. Since that time, the good news of the Kingdom of God is being preached!!"
John 1:17: For the Law was given through Moses, and Grace and Truth came through Jesus Christ!"
John 8:3-7: The teachers of the Law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus. "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. {As per Leviticus 20:10}. Now what do You say? They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing Him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with His finger. When they kept on questioning Him, He straightened up and said, "If anyone of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her!"
So here Jesus repealed Leviticus 20:10 and the other 25 Laws of Moses for stoning people!!
Mark 10:2-12: Some Pharisees came and tested Jesus by asking, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?" "What did Moses command you, Jesus replied. They said, "Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce and send her away." {For any reason}
"It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law." Jesus replied. Jesus says, "A man will leave his father and mother and be united with his wife, and the two will became one flesh... Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate... Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her. And if she divorces her husband and marries anther man she commits adultery."
Jesus also says in Mathew 5:27,28: "You have head that it was said , 'Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery in his heart!"
And so Jesus completely changed and added to the OT Laws of Moses on Adultery!
Leviticus 26:7,8: God said to Israel, "You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the SWORD before you. Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the SWORD before you!" Numbers 25:16,17" The Lord said to Moses, "Treat the Midianites as enemies and kill them!" etc etc
HOWEVER IN THE NEW COVENANT, JESUS SAYS, "ALL WHO DRAW THE SWORD WILL DIE BY THE SWORD!"
Matthew 26:30-34: They seized Jesus and arrested Him. With that, one of Jesus' companions reached for his sword, drew it out and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear. "Put your sword back in its place," Jesus said to him, "For *ALL* who draw the sword will die by the sword...But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?"
Jesus said to Pilate, "My Kingdom is not of this world. If it were, My servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But **NOW** My Kingdom is from another place!"
Former OT commands in Exodus 21:23-25 "If there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise."
This was changed by these NT commands by Jesus:
Matthew 5:38,39: Jesus commands, "You have heard that it was said {In Exodus 21:23-25 above}, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek turn to him the other also!"
Luke 6:27-29: Jesus commands, "LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you. do not demand it back!"
When you join the military and become a professional killer you must make a **VOW** that you will obey all the commands of your commanding officer. And so if He commands you to drop an Atomic Bomb that will kill about 100,000 civilians including about 25,000 innocent children you must obey this command!!!
What is the OT command concerning *VOWS* and *OATHS*?? Numbers 30:2: Moses said, "This is what the Lord commands: When a man makes a *VOW* to the Lord or takes an *OATH* to obligate himself by a pledge, he must not break his word but must do everything he said!"
What are the NT commands concerning making *VOWS* and **OATHS*??
James 5:12: "ABOVE ALL, my brothers, do not swear--not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. Let your "Yes" be yes, and your "No," no, or you will be condemned.!!"
Matthew 5:33-37: Jesus says, "You have heard that it was said to your people long ago {Numbers 30:2 above}, 'Do not break your oath, but keep the oaths you have made to the Lord.' BUT I tell you, Do not swear at all....Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No, 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one!!"
Anyone who claims that Jesus did not change OT laws of Moses is completely blind. All of the OT Sabbath laws have been eliminated. All of the OT sacrificial and temple laws have been eliminated by the eternal sacrifice for sins by Jesus. All of the stoning to death laws for breaking the law have been eliminated. All of the laws concerning killing your enemies, and eye for an eye and making oaths have been eliminated. All Circumcision laws have been eliminated. And Jesus declared that all foods are now *CLEAN*!!
Galatians 5:6: For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is **FAITH EXPRESSING ITSELF THROUGH LOVE**! {ADAM7777 disagrees with these inspired words of God!}
Colossians 2:16,17: Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you **EAT** or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a **SABBATH DAY**. These are a *SHADOW* of the things that were to come, the reality, however, is found in Christ!!! {ADAM7777 disagrees with these inspired words of God!}
Mark 7:18-23: Jesus says, "Don't you see that nothing that enters a man from the outside can make him unclean? For it doesn't go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body!" By saying this Jesus declared **ALL FOODS CLEAN**!! He went on "What comes out of a man is what makes him unclean. For from within , out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and make a man unclean!" {ADAM7777 disagrees with these inspired words of God and tries to explain it away by saying it only has to do with unclean hands {???}which was mentioned earlier in Mark 7}
Acts 10:9-16: Peter went up on the roof to pray. He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by the four corners. It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air. Then a Voice told him, "Get up, Peter, kill and **EAT**!" "Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean." The Voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that **GOD HAS MADE CLEAN**!"{As per Mark 7:19 above) This happened **THREE TIMES**!, and the sheet was taken back to heaven!
I Timothy 4:1-5: The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through **HYPOCRITICAL LIARS**, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them **TO ABSTAIN FROM CERTAIN FOODS**, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For everything God created is good, and **NOTHING IS TO BE REJECTED** if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer!!
I Corinthians 10:25: Eat **ANYTHING** sold in the meat market without raising questions of conscience, for, "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it!"
Galatians 3:23-25: "Before faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, *WE* ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE LAW!!" {ADAM7777 disagrees with these inspired words of God!! since he believes we are still under the supervision of OT Law!}
I Corinthians 9:20,21: Paul said, "To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law though **I MYSELF AM NOT UNDER THE LAW**, so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law though I am not free from God's law but **AM UNDER CHRIST'S LAW!!"
Matthew 28:18-20: Jesus says, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to obey **EVERYTHING I HAVE COMMANDED YOU!!" {Which would include all His changes to OT laws!!}
John 13:34,35: Jesus says, "A **NEW COMMAND I give you: Love one another, **AS I HAVE LOVED YOU**, so you **MUST** love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples!!" John 15:12:14: Jesus says, "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that **HE LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS**. You are My friends if you do what I command!!" {So here Jesus replaces the OT law of just loving your neighbor as you love yourself!}
I John 1:8-10; 2:1-5: If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and purify ourselves from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned we make Him out to be a liar and His word has no place in our hearts... If anybody does sin we have One who speaks to the Father in our defense--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins...We know we have come to know Him if we obey **HIS COMMANDS**. The man who says, "I know Him," but do not do what **HE COMMANDS** is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys **HIS WORD**, God's love is truly made complete in Him. This is how we know we are in Him.
Isaiah 54:16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
"THERE IS NO LONGER ANY SACRIFICE FOR SIN!!!" HEBREWS 10:18!!
Hebrews 10:11-18: Day after day every priest performs his religious duties again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when this Priest had offered for all time **ONE SACRIFICE FOR SINS**, He sat down at the right hand of God... Because by **ONE SACRIFICE** He has made ***PERFECT FOREVER*** those who are being made holy. The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says: "This is the covenant I will make with them after that time says the Lord. I will put My laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds." The he adds" Their sins and lawless acts I will remember **NO MORE**." And when these have been forgiven , there is **NO LONGER ANY SACRIFICE FOR SIN**!!
Ephesians 1:5-8: In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will--to the praise of His **GLORIOUS GRACE**, which He has freely given us in the One He loves. In Him we have **REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD**, the **FORGIVENESS OF SINS**, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding!
Ephesians 2:4-10: Because of His great **LOVE** for us, God,, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is **BY GRACE** you have been saved! And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is **BY GRACE** you have been saved, through faith-- and this **NOT FROM YOURSELVES**, it is the **GIFT** of God--**NOT BY WORKS**, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do!
Hebrews 9:25-28: Nor did He enter heaven to offer Himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place with blood that is not his own. Then Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But now He has appeared **ONCE FOR ALL** at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of Himself. Just as man is destined to die once , and after that to face judgment, so Christ was **SACRIFICED ONCE TO TAKE AWAY THE SINS OF MANY PEOPLE**!!
Hebrews 7:27: Unlike the other high priests, He does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for His own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He **SACRIFICED FOR THEIR SINS ONCE FOR ALL** when He offered Himself!!
Hebrews 10:8-10: First He said, "Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings You did not desire although the Law required them to be made. Then He said, "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He set aside the first to establish the second. And by that will, we have been made holy through the **SACRIFICE OF THE BODY OF JESUS ONCE FOR ALL**!!
Galatians 2:14-16: Paul said, When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter in front of them all, "You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs? We who are Jews by birth and not 'Gentile sinners' know that a man is NOT justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because **BY OBSERVING THE LAW NO ONE WILL BE JUSTIFIED**!"
Galatians 2:20,21: The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"
Galatians 3:10-13: "All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law."** CLEARLY NO ONE IS JUSTIFIED BEFORE GOD BY THE LAW**, because, "The righteous will live by faith." The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, "The man who does these things will live by them." Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us!
Hebrews 7:18,19: The former regulation is SET ASIDE because it was weak and useless; for the law made nothing perfect, and a **BETTER HOPE** is introduced, by which we draw near to God.!
Revelation 5:9: "You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because You were slain, and **WITH YOUR BLOOD YOU PURCHASED MEN FOR GOD** from every tribe and language and people and nation!!"
Isaiah 53:5,6: But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. We all like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all!!
I Peter 1:1,19: For you know that it was no with perishable things such as silver or god that you were **REDEEMED** from the empty way of life handed down to you by you forefathers, but with the **PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST**, a Lamb without blemish or defect!!
Romans 4:5 But to the one not working, but trusting in the one justifying(declaring righteous) the ungodly, his faith is counted for justification(righteousness).
5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Christ didn't wait till we were good enough to die for us. He doesn't wait till we complete some set of works to justify us. He doesn't justify the one who works for it.
"Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow LED TO repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing. For godly sorrow PRODUCES repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death." 2 Corinthians 7
Neither worldly sorrow, nor godly sorrow, is itself, repentance. Just being sorry doesn't cut it. Metanoia - repentance, a change of mind, must occur in order to gain salvation.
He is not a Jew, which is one outwardly, But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly, and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Isaiah 65, the Lord reserves Israel, not forsaken forever. Romans 11:2. Christ is the seed of David, to inherit all of the Lord's, and we become the elect. The herds lie down, the people that sought the Lord, when the Lord called us by Christ. We are not rebellious walking after our own thoughts. We do not offer to the wrong number, (as in Revelations) We choose what delights the Lord. The Lord chooses us and calls us Christians, and we Bless ourselves in the God of truth, and we SWEAR, by the God of truth....
Isaiah 65:1 I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.
2 I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;
Isaiah 65:8 Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all.
9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.
10 And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.
11 But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.
12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:
14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.
15 And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:
16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.
17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
The Lord refines Levi,(Christian Jews by nature) and we make offering to the Lord in righteousness. The offering of Heavenly Jerusalem. Christ came as a swift witness against adulterers, AGAINST FALSE SWEARERS to make all correct on earth, for the fatherless and widows..
Malachi 3:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.
4 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.
5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.
Psalms 68:5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
Jesus came to stop false swearing, and for us to let our yes be yes, and our no, no, when we make a vow to keep it simple and keep to it. We follow Paul as example, as commanded by God to do..
2 Thessalonians 3:9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
Acts 18:18 And Paul after this tarried there yet a good while, and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila; having shorn his head in Cenchrea: for he had a vow.
The first covenant is people speaking the law, but not doing the law. We are to honour God, which is not by breaking or abandoning the law. But the uncircumcision keeps the righteousness of the law, and then we are counted as the circumcision. BY NATURE. FULFILL THE LAW. BY the letter transgresses the law. Christians are Jews, inwardly in the heart to God, all secretly to the Lord,and nothing for men to see..(including alms, fasting, prayers)
Romans 2:22 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
23 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?
24 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?
25 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
26 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.
27 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
28 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?
29 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
30 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Matthew 6:1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Matthew 6:17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
Let us keep the feast of unleavened bread, for Christ our passover is sacrificed for us. Not keeping feasts by the letter, and wickedness, but under the law to Christ in sincerity and truth. Circumcision is nothing, faith in love is all, love in sincerity, circumcision of the heart, not the flesh, that is to love sincerely, or we feign love...
1 Corinthians 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Galatians 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
Ephesians 6:24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
Ezekiel 33:31 And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.
No sacrifice, no king, no prince, until latter days of Christ. Then our PRINCE arrived, the King of Kings, and the sacrifice was made and continued, as we sought the Lord and David our King, fearing the Lord and His goodness. Christ the living stone was disallowed of men, we are lively stones and offer spiritual, living sacrifices from our Holy Priesthood to God by Jesus Christ....
Hosea 3:4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:
5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.
1 Peter 2:4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Revelation 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Revelation 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
Abraham had no child and God told him, he would have a child from his own bowels, and is seed shall be as the stars of Heaven. Abraham believed the word of the Lord, and God counted it to him for righteousness, and for our sake also in faith. The just walks by faith. We are saved by grace and hope against hope, and need to believe as strongly as Abraham who did not believe in his body now dead, but we see the body of Christ alive instead.
Genesis 15:3 And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.
4 And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
Romans 4:2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Romans 4:18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:
20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
Romans 8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Abraham also was justified by works, as this is a seperate example, the Lord requires us to sacrifice all we have, as Abraham was required to sacrifice h
s only son, and the scripture needed to be FULFILLED, of believing God and being His friend, we trust in God and obey Him even to Abrahams willingness of sacrifice..
James 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Genesis 22:16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

MATTHEW 5:20: JESUS SAYS, "UNLESS YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS SURPASSES THAT OF THE PHARISEES AND **TEACHERS OF THE LAW**, YOU WILL CERTAINLY NOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN!"
Understanding Matthew 5:17,18 is very complex;. since it seems to implay that all the Laws of Moses and the OT Prophets will be in effect til heaven and earth pass away. Whereas there are dozens of places in the NT which clearly say that the NT saints are no longer under all the {613) Laws of Moses.
Almost all conservative NT theologians agree that the first coming of Jesus fulfilled aboiut 300 OT prophecies and that Jesus will **FULFILL** about 50 OT prophecies during the 1260-day Great Tribulation followed by His 2nd coming when heaven and earth will pass away. These are mainly found in the OT book of Daniel'who was one of the OT prophets in Matthew 5:17.
Hebrews 10:11-18: Day after day every priest performs his religious duties again and again he offers the same sacrifices {According to the laws of Moses}, which can never take away sins. I will put My laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds." The he adds" Their sins and lawless acts I will remember **NO MORE**." And when these have been forgiven, there is **NO LONGER ANY SACRIFICE FOR SIN**
One of these 613 commands of Moses is found in Deuteronomy 18:17-19: The Lord said to Moses, "I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among your brothers. I will put My words in His mouth, and He will tell them everything I command Him. If anyone does not listen to My words that the Prophet speaks in My name, I Myself will call him to account!!".
In the NT in John 14:,23,24 Jesus says, "If anyone loves Me, he will obey My teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me will not obey My teaching. These words you hear are not My own, they belong to the Father who sent Me!" {You will note that the OT teaching is not even mentioned here!!}
According to the OT Prophets in Isaiah 65:17 and Isaiah 66:22 {See also Daniel 7:27 & Daniel 12:2,3 & Daniel 2:44} God promised a NEW HEAVEN and a NEW EARTH and the OT saints were looking forward to this according to Hebrew 11:13-16. And the NT saints were also looking forward to this according to Revelation 21:1-5 and 2 Peter 3:10-13.
2 Peter 3:10-13: But the day of the Lord will come like a theif. the heavens will **DIISAPPEAR** with a roar; thelements will be destroyed by fire and the earth and everything in it will be burned up.. That day will bring about the destruction of the hevens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with His promise {In Isaiah 65:17 and Isaiah 66:22} we are looking forward to a **NEW HEAVEN** and a **NEW EARTH**, the home of righteousness!!
And so all of the OT prophecies will not be **FULFILLED**until we get a **NEW HEAVENS** and **NEW EARTH**!!
Matthew 5:17,18: Jesus says, " Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the **PROPHETS**. I have not come to abolish them {The Law & the PROPHETS}but to **FULFILL THEM**! I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke, will by any means disappear from the Law :{and the Prophets} **UNTIL EVERYTHING IS ACCOMPLISHED!!"
Jesus prophesied that the Jewish Temple would be completely destroyed which took place in AD 70. About 200 of the 613 OT laws were then eliminated concerning the priests and temple ornaments, procedures and sacrifices. Actually Jesus **FULFILLED** and **ACCOMPLISHED** and put and end to all meaningful temple sacrifices for sin by the sacrifice of Himself in AD 33.
Before quoting Matthew 5:19,20 it should be noted that the Prophet God had promised in Deuteronomy 18:17-19 must be obeyed in everything Jesus had already made about 10 new commandments in Matthew 5:1-16 and was about to make many new commandments in the sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5:21 to Matthew 7:27!!
For example: Matthew 5:11,12: Jesus says, "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you **BECAUSE OIF ME**. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in Heaven!!"
Matthew 5:19.20: Jesus says,Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments {In Matthew 5:1-16 and Matthew 5:21 to Matthew 7:27} and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the **TEACHERS OF THE LAW**{Like ADAM7777}, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven!!"
I John 2:3-5: We know that we have come to know Him **IF WE OBEY HIS COMMANDS**. The man who says, "I know Him," but does not do what **HE COMMANDS** ia a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone **OBEYS HIS WORD**, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in Him!! {You will note that the OT commands are not even mentioned here!!}
Matthew 28:18-20: Jesus says, "All authority in heaven and on erth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciplesof all nations... teaching them to **OBEY EVERYTHING I HAVE COMMANDED** you!!" {Again note that the OT commands are not even mentioned here!!}
John 14:21: Whoever has **MY COMMANDS AND OBEYS THEM**, he is the one who loves Me! He who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I too will love him and show Myself to him.!!" {Again note that the OT commands are not even mentioned here!!}
Galatians 3:23-25: "Before faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be **JUSTIFIED BY FAITH**. Now that faith has come, *WE* ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE LAW!!" {Adam777 disagrees with these inspired words of God! He believes we are still under **SUPERVISION OF OT LAW!}
I Corinthians 9:20,21: Paul said, "To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law though **I MYSELF AM NOT UNDER THE LAW**, so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law though I am not free from God's law but **AM UNDER CHRIST'S LAW**!!"
Ephesians 2:4-10: Because of His great **LOVE** for us, God,, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is **BY GRACE** you have been saved! And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is **BY GRACE** you have been saved, through faith-- and this **NOT FROM YOURSELVES**, it is the **GIFT** of God--**NOT BY WORKS**, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do!! {ADAM7777 disagrees with these inspired words of God!}
"Ephesians 2:4-10: Because of His great **LOVE** for us, God,, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is **BY GRACE** you have been saved! I agree with the words of God, prove how I do not agree.
We are saved by grace, through faith, the gift of God, not of works so we cannot boast. What do you think you are showing with all you show, apart from no point at all.
Now I will make it clear for all. The law was never fulfilled, because people could not bear it. The law was never written in the heart and mind, and the Spirit given for us to do righteousness. The law was weak, we are Spirit and strong, and the law is fulfilled in us, the same law that was never ever fulfilled before, now only, became fulfilled, exactly as Christ said, and came to do of course. Loving another fulfills the law. Loving our neighbour as ourselves fulfills the law. Circumcision of the heart fulfills the law, we judge the circumcision who transgress the law, when we the uncircumcision keep the law in righteousness in the heart. that needed to be fulfilled, and it was and not one jot or tittle did pass from the law as spoken..
Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Romans 2:25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.
26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
27 And shall not uncircumcision which is BY NATURE, if it FULFILL THEW LAW, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and CIRCUMCISION IS THAT OF THE HEART, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Jeremiah 9:26 Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.
Acts 7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
