Posted : 16 May, 2020 01:06 PM Revelation 3:19: Jesus says, "Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline, so be earnest and repent!!" Hebrews 12:5-11: Do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those He loves, and He chastens EVERYONE He accepts as a son! Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as His children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? If you are not disciplined--and everyone undergoes discipline--then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in His holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it! Post Reply

From the scriptural perspective one plants and another waters. But it is God who gives the increase. Some people want to hammer every point and beat it to death. And others wish to hammer back. It appears that there is a lot of doctrine and very little love. But if people see that as their calling from God, we all have to answer to God for what we do. It is a public forum, after all. Posted : 16 May, 2020 06:41 PM If we were face to face with the people who are on the forum, would we say the same things that we write? I'd like to think we wouldn't. After all, we are not Jesus Christ. It would not be Christ-like to go into a church that taught heresy and drive them out with a whip, even if it was in our own church. Post Reply

Posted : 16 May, 2020 07:07 PM I agree that God has compassion for us, and certainly here on the forums there seems to be a LACK of compassion for others. I believe that comes from so many not really being Christian. It's advertised as a Christian site, but there is no magic way to discern what people have in their hearts when they post. Post Reply

Lol! ) goes rabid in her typical JUDGMENT of people! She THINKS she is quoting "John 3:16 - Jesus didn't continue arguments with others over and over to prove His point." buts what's really ODD is her "Jesus" NEVER said a thing about "continued arguments" in the verse!!! This wanna be "Christian Cupcake/Moonlight7" has always been one to JUDGE others with no context in her typical JUDGMENT of people! For instance in other threads on CDFF, she claims its "unbiblical" when "older" men (In her JUDGMENTAL perverted mind of what "old" is!) that marry younger women when there is NOT a stitch of Scripture that states her imaginary "sin" or even hints at what she THINKS is supposedly wrong in all of that! Oh but that is not all, old bitter JUDGMENTAL mother hen (along with sidekick needs-a-friend7, her double 7 hen now!) also states "Reframe from disputes over and over on a Forum." (with ZERO verse(s) to back up her JUDGMENT of those people!) all in her self righteous perverted mind! Your right AboundingGrace, she keeps "hammering it and beating it to death" in two posts just out of the blue here, unrelated to the topic of the thread let alone the one verse (John 3:16?) she continues on to SUPPOSEDLY be making a point on??? Good grief you bitter old woman, if your going to act like you know what your talking about, then go to the thread where you IMAGINE the problem is and shut your PH in this thread! OK? She claims she "understands why" (in her imagination) that others are not posting, yet NOT "understanding" she could be the reason "why" they are not! LOL!
