John the baptist came to baptize with water. Jesus came to baptize with the Holy Spirit and with fire. Water baptism was not and is not part of His ministry.
Yo have not read the articles and are making uninformed comments.
Jesus did not command water baptism but He commanded the following:
Sell your possessions and give to charity; make yourselves money belts which do not wear out, an unfailing treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near nor moth destroys. Luke 12:33
In obedience to Jesus, have you sold your possessions and given them all away?

From Gracenotworkssaves:
My question to is this; HAVE YOU sold ALL of your so called possessions and given them away.
Unless you have done so,then do not ask others to do what you will not do,that would be HYPOCRISY.
Deception and cults give you heresies and you accept them.
Those who REJECT heresies and OBEY what God said in the HOLY Bible are the TRUE believers...Tares are among them....Jesus said that they will be among us until the Judgement Day.
Come Lord Jesus and JUDGE people for their heresies. Amen.
Those who change what God said in the Bible do NOT inherit the Kingdom of God!
Our God Jesus WARNED us about that in the Bible.
18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; 19and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book. 20He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming quickly." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus Revelation 22
Versavia, It would be better if you calmly explained from the Bible why you think water baptism is so important. At the moment you remind me of James and John who wanted to call down fire from heaven like Elijah! Jesus rebuked them for it. (Luke 9.54-55)
Baptism is one of the MAIN concepts of Christianity.
But WHY?
Because our God Jesus commanded us:
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19
Those who OBEY our God Jesus are believers BORN of God. Those who disobey are NOT the sons of God and their father is devil. 1 John 3
Water Baptism identifies the believer with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection.
When you came to Christ, you were "circumcised," but not by a physical procedure. It was a spiritual procedure--the cutting away of your sinful nature. For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to a new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. Colossians 2:11-12
We were therefore BURIED with Him (JESUS) through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a NEW life. Romans 6:4
Water Baptism is an act of obedience for the believer. It should be preceded by repentance when we ABANDON sins!
"Peter replied, 'Each of you must turn from your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.' Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church--about three thousand in all. Acts 2:38, 41
And this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I Peter 3:21
But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. I Corinthians 6:11
Christianity is OBEDIENCE to the words/commands of God!
The sons of disobedience will perish with their father devil.
I read the articles, and their major support was from Paul, and yet Paul states that he did baptize people, although only a few. The amount of stretching and scripture leapfrog makes me extremely suspicious, and on top of that, they misquote and misrepresent Paul. It leaves me with no confidence in their position or motives. It's only tiny arguments about the law being pushed on me like water baptism is an evil thing, and I do not believe it is. There is not one verse condemning it. There are many verses that promote and recommend it, and many examples of the disciples, both Jew and Gentile, taking part in it. On top of that, foot-washing was a ordinance that Jesus instituted at Passover as an example of a mini-baptism for those who were already baptized. The best argument they can use to refrain from water baptism is the verse: "Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand." However, I very much want to serve God the right way, and my conscience tells me water baptism is not evil, so I will follow Jesus, Paul, Phillip, all the rest of the disciples and the prophets and the scripture, and promote water baptism. The best place is in Jesus's footsteps.
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient.
The wrath of God will come upon the sons of disobedience....
Ephesians 5:6-7
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them.
My question about Jesus's command to sell your possessions was to Versavia who says that in obedience to God we should be water baptized.
However did Versavia sell her possessions and give them to the poor in obedience to the clear command of Jesus?
Did I myself sell my possessions and give them all away.
Yes, I did! At one point in time I didn't have 2 cents to my name. I gave ALL, and I literally mean ALL of my money away. Most of it went to another Christian who needed a car.
For several weeks I slept on my mother's couch because I gave my bed away. For several weeks I had nothing but some clothing in my posession.
The Lord slowly retured everything that I gave away, and I am blessed to have everything that I need to give away again according to the need of anyone.
The early christians gave away their possessions to other poor Christians until they reached equality. You don't see too many Christians following in their footsteps of sacrifical love but they will follow the usless, waste of time, waste of money, unordained, obsolete Jewish water baptism. Lord have mercy!
There are many Christian hypocrites who want to obey the easy non-commands but do not obey the commands that cost them anything, like all their money.
Hypocrite Christians just want to tithe their 10% and keep the 90% for their own selfish needs. Tithing isn't even Biblical but that is another topic.
I write this in hopes that it will bless you not to brag because in all honesty it was very hard to give away everything. It made me realize how easy it is to be attached to your stuff. But the Lord commands it and I'm ready to do it again.
I find many people chasing after things, and many people wanting to trust Messiah for what they can get from Him,namely STUFF.
Here is a very interesting Scripture concerning the gathering of STUFF in this life.
LUkE 12:15 And he ( Yeshua ) said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
Many people have come to this country, both legally and many ILLEGALLY,in order to get STUFF,
Is the Messiah of the christinas an ATM machine,or is He the Creator of all that we can and cannot see.
