**JESUS SAYS NEVER MAKE AN OATH AND LOVE AND FORGIVE ALL YOUR ENEMIES**!!
In the OT God ordered Israel to kill their enemies many times and God helped them do it. However in the NT Jesus commands in Luke 6:27-29: "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also."
Whereas in the OT in Leviticus 26:7,8: God said to Israel, "You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the SWORD before you. Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the SWORD before you!" Numbers 25:16,17" The Lord said to Moses, "Treat the Midianites as enemies and kill them!" etc etc
Another OT command in Exodus 21:23-25 "If there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise."
This was also changed by these NT commands by Jesus:
Matthew 5:38,39: Jesus commands, "You have heard that it was said {In Exodus 21:23-25 above}, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek turn to him the other also!"
Luke 6:27-29: Jesus commands, "LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you. do not demand it back!"
Matthew 5:43,44: Jesus says, "You have heard that it was said, 'Love you neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you. love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven!!"
Whereas in the OT in Numbers 25:16,17 we are told to: "Treat the Midianites as enemies and kill them." and Leviticus 26:7,8: "You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the sword before you. Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you!"
What is the OT command concerning *VOWS* and *OATHS*?? Numbers 30:2: Moses said, "This is what the Lord commands: When a man makes a *VOW* to the Lord or takes an *OATH* to obligate himself by a pledge, he must not break his word but must do everything he said!"
But what are the NT commands concerning making *VOWS* and **OATHS*??
James 5:12: "ABOVE ALL, my brothers, do not swear--not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. Let your "Yes" be yes, and your "No," no, or you will be condemned.!!"
Matthew 5:33-37: Jesus says, "You have heard that it was said to your people long ago {Numbers 30:2 above}, 'Do not break your oath, but keep the oaths you have made to the Lord.' BUT I tell you, Do not swear at all....Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No, 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one!!"
Federal law requires everyone who enlists or re-enlists in the Armed Forces of the United States to take the enlistment **OATH**.
The **OATH** of enlistment is administered by any commissioned officer to any person enlisting or re-enlisting for a term of service into any branch of the military. The oath is traditionally performed in front of the United States Flag and other flags, such as the state flag, and military branch flag.
**OATH** for Armed Forces Except for the National Guard:
The military **OATH** of enlistment (re-enlistment) is fairly straightforward for most military personnel. It's administered by a superior officer, and carried out like most traditional oaths, with the officer reading the oath and the person being sworn repeating it.
I, (NAME), do **SOLEMNLY SWEAR** that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. **SO HELP ME GOD**.
And so anyone who **SOLEMNLY SWEARS**.. **SO HELP ME GOD** and who **KILLS HIS ENEMIES** is breaking two New Covenant Commands of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Luke 6:27-30: Jesus says, "Love your enemies, do good to those that hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. Give to everyone who asks you, and if someone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back!"
Luke 6:33-36: Love your enemies, do good to them and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your **REWARD** will be great and you will be children of the Most High because He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as you Father is merciful!"
Matthew 18:21,22: Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister {or wife} who sins against me? Up to 7 times?" Jesus answered, "I tell you not 7 times but 77 times!" {Also can be translated 70 times 7 times!}
I Peter 3:9: Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called that you may **INHERIT A BLESSING**!
Matthew 5:9: Jesus says, "Blessed are the **PEACEMAKERS**, for they will be called the **CHILDREN OF GOD**!"
2 Corinthians 10:3-5: For though we live in the world, **WE DO NOT MAKE WAR AS THE WORLD DOES**! The weapons we fight with **ARE NOT THE WEAPONS OF THE WORLD**. On the contrary, they have **DIVINE POWER** to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God!
Ephesians 6:17: Take the helmet of salvation and the **SWORD** OF THE SPIRIT** which is the **WORD OF GOD**!!
I Peter 2:20-23: If you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in His steps.... When they hurled their insults at Him, He did not retaliate; when He suffered, He made no threats. Instead He entrusted Himself to Him who judges Justly!
I Peter 3:8,9,11: Finally, all of you, be like minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. **DO NOT REPAY EVIL FOR EVIL** or insult with insult. On the contrary, **REPAY EVIL WITH BLESSING**, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. For... "They must turn from evil and do good; they **MUST SEEK PEACE AND PURSUE IT**!"
Romans 14:17-19: For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, **PEACE** and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God an receives human approval. Let us therefore make every effort to do **WHAT LEADS TO PEACE**!
Hebrews 12:14 Make every effort **TO LIVE IN PEACE WITH EVERYONE**!
Matthew 5:43-45: Jesus says, "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' {As per the OT}. But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven!"
Matthew 6:14,15: Jesus says, "If you forgive other people who sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, you Father will not forgive your sins!"
John 18:36: Jesus says, "My Kingdom is not of this world. If it were, My servants would fight to prevent My arrest. But now My Kingdom is from another place!"
Luke 23:33,34: When they came to the place of the Skull, they crucified Him there... Jesus said, "Father forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing!"
Romans 12:19-21: Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "it is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. On the contrary: If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty give him something to drink. In doing this you will heap burning coals on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but **OVERCOME EVIL WITH GOOD**!
I Peter 4:8-10: Above all, **LOVE** each other deeply, because **LOVE** covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms!
Colossians 3:12-14: As God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on **LOVE**, which binds them all together in perfect unity!
Ephesians 4:31,32: Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with any form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another just as in Christ God forgave you!!
Matthew 28:18-20: Jesus says, "**ALL AUTHORITY** in heaven and **ON EARTH** has been given to **ME**. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations...teaching them to obey **EVERYTHING** I have commanded you and surely I am **WITH YOU ALWAYS**, to the very end of the age!!"
Matthew 10:27: Jesus says, "What I tell you in the dark, **SPEAK** in the daylight; what I whisper in your ear **PROCLAIM FROM THE HOUSETOPS**!!"

Like so many of his posts and threads, prophetic continues to ignore the truth of inconvenient scripture texts. With trademark strict adherence he holds to his custom fit theology which consists only of select portions of scripture that he decides best suits his theology. If that means cheating the Lord Jesus Christ of deity thus making him less than a co-equal with God or outlandishly denying the personhood of God the Holy Spirit, so be it.
Prophetic’s self-invented theology must be defended first and foremost and by all means. All scriptural evidence to the contrary is promptly dismissed out of hand.
Prophetic’s bad examples prove the great significance of basing interpretation of scripture on each of the original author’s original meaning!!! That means referring back to the original languages of each historic texts. That also means finding their original grammars at the time they were first written is critical to finding the correct interpretation.
Much bad theology could be corrected and avoided if the application of these simple rules where implemented consistently

Little David Quote:
"Too many people believe Old Testament Israel treated all their enemies with a kind of hostility that is foreign in the New Testament."
Little David is implying that there was not much difference in the OT and the NT about **LOVING YOUR ENEMIES**{?????} As usual Little David does not use God's Word to defend his ridiculous beliefs.
**JESUS SAYS NEVER MAKE AN OATH, AND LOVE AND FORGIVE ALL YOUR ENEMIES**
In the OT God ordered Israel to kill their enemies many times and God helped them do it. However in the NT Jesus commands in Luke 6:27-29: "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also."

Numbers 25:16,17" The Lord said to Moses, "Treat the Midianites as enemies and kill them!"
Numbers 32:20,21: Moses said to them, "if you will do this--if you will arm yourselves before the Lord for battle and if all of you who are armed cross over the Jordan before the Lord until He has driven out His enemies out before Him!!"
Deuteronomy 6:18,19: Do what is right and good in the Lord's sight, that it may go well with you and you may go in and take over the good land the Lord has promised on oath to your ancestors, **THRUSTING OUT ALL YOUR ENEMIES BEFORE YOU**, as the Lord said!
Deuteronomy 23:14: For the Lord your God moves about in your camp to protect you and to deliver your enemies to you!
Deuteronomy 28:7 The Lord will grant that your enemies who go up against you will be defeated before you!
Deuteronomy 30:7: The Lord your God will put all these curses on your enemies who hate and persecute you!
Another OT command in Exodus 21:23-25 "If there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise."
This was also changed by these NT commands by Jesus:

Isaiah 9:6,7: For unto us a Child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, and **PRINCE OF PEACE**. Of the greatness of His government and **PEACE** there will be no end!!
Ephesians 4:31,32: Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with **ANY FORM OF MALICE**. Be kind and compassionate to one another just as in Christ God forgave you!!
Galatians 3:10-13: "All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith." The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, "The man who does these things will live by them." Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us!
Galatians 3:23-25: "Before faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, *WE* ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE LAW!!"
Hebrews 7:18,19: The former regulation is SET ASIDE because it was weak and useless; for the law made nothing perfect, and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.!
Hebrews 8:8,9,13: "The time is coming." says the Lord, "when I will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah".... By calling this Covenant "NEW", He has made the first one OBSOLETE; and what is OBSOLETE and aging will soon disappear."
Hebrews 8:6: But the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which He is Mediator is SUPERIOR TO THE OLD ONE, and it is founded on better promises.
I Corinthians 9:21: I am under **CHRIST'S LAW**!!
Galatians 6:2: Fulfill the **LAW OF CHRIST**!!
Federal law requires everyone who enlists or re-enlists in the Armed Forces of the United States to take the enlistment **OATH**!

Unfortunately, even Armed Forces Medics and Chaplains have to take this **OATH**!
I John 2:1-5: My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an Advocate with the Father--**JESUS CHRIST**, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. We know that we have come to know Him [**JESUS**] if we keep His commands. Whoever says, "I know Him," but does not do what He {**JESUS**} commands is a liar and the truth is not in that person. But if anyone obeys His Word, love for God is made complete in them. This is how we know we are in Him!!
Matthew 10:27: Jesus says, "What I tell you in the dark, **SPEAK** in the daylight; what I whisper in your ear **PROCLAIM FROM THE HOUSETOPS**!!"

Little David: I just quote all of God's word on a specific topic. And God's Word speaks for itself. Unfortunately you rarely quote God's Word to prove your positions which gives glory to yourself and not to God's Word.
I Peter 4:10,11: Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks they should do so as one who speaks the very Words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things **GOD MAY BE PRAISED** through Jesus Christ. To Him be the **GLORY** and power for ever and ever!! Amen.
***JESUS SAYS NEVER MAKE AN OATH, AND LOVE AND FORGIVE ALL YOUR ENEMIES**

Colossians 3:12-15: As God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on **LOVE**, which binds them all together in perfect unity! Let the **PEACE OF CHRIST** rule in your hearts. since of members of one body, you were **CALLED TO PEACE**!
Federal law requires everyone who enlists or re-enlists in the Armed Forces of the United States to take the enlistment **OATH**!
The **OATH** of enlistment is administered by any commissioned officer to any person enlisting or re-enlisting for a term of service into any branch of the military.
The military **OATH** of enlistment (re-enlistment) is fairly straightforward for most military personnel. It's administered by a superior officer, and carried out like most traditional oaths, with the officer reading the oath and the person being sworn repeating it.
**OATH** for US Armed Forces except for the National Guard after raising their right hand:
Unfortunately, even Armed Forces Medics and Chaplains have to take this **OATH**!
Not only that, but any USA chaplain may not complain of any unjust war by the USA:
A January 5, 1991, letter to the Abilene Reporter-News from Lieutenant Colonel Garland Robertson, a Southern Baptist U.S. Air Force chaplain, a good 20-year veteran, who had served as a reconnaissance pilot during the Vietnam War, questioned the use of U.S. military force against Iraq since he believed it was an unjust war. When reprimanded, Robertson's orders to relocate to Germany were canceled. He submitted to three psychological examinations, and was relieved of his pastoral duties. He was honorably discharged without benefits in September 1993 based on a record of "poor leadership".
**JESUS SAYS NEVER MAKE AN OATH AND LOVE AND FORGIVE ALL YOUR ENEMIES**!!

**SAD**lup's ridiculous Satanic quote:
"God and Jesus said the Law would never change in the lifetime of this Creation"????? Then **SAD**lup quotes Matthew 5:17,18:
Matthew 5:17,18: Jesus says, "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them but to **FULFILL THEM**. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not he smallest letter, nor the least stroke of the pen will by any means disappear will by any means from the Law **UNTIL EVERYTHING IS ACCOMPLISHED**!"
Actually all the books of the New Testament except for Revelation were inspired by God between AD 42 and AD 65. And then it took about 5 more years for all the books of the New Testament to be received by all the New Testament churches which would have been around AD 70.
Then in AD 70 a very interesting thing took place the Roman Army captured Jerusalem from the Jews and the Jewish Temple was completely destroyed just as Jesus prophesied.
Luke 21:2-4 ;20-24: Some of the disciples were remarking, about how the Temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts dedicated to God. But Jesus said, "As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be on another, every one will be thrown down!!"
And so there have been no animal sacrifices for sin according to OT law for almost 2,000 years since **JESUS **FULFILLED** THIS SACRIFICE FOR SIN" at the cross. And there has been no Jewish Temple or Temple Worship or Temple priests or Temple adornments or altars which were required by over 200 OT Laws!! Out of 613 OT Laws only about 100 are still kept by the Jews. Jesus and the New Testament have eliminated over 500 OT Laws that were **FULFILLED ** when all of God's Word reached all of the NT churches by AD 70. And all of the OT prophecies and the entire New Covenant prophecies were **FULFILLED** with the countless eternal prophecies in Revelation revealed in AD 96!! "*WHEN EVERYTHING WAS ACCOMPLISHED** And **FULFILLED**!!
All the **PASSOVER OT LAWS** were fulfilled when **JESUS BECAME OUR PASSOVER LAMB** And all of the OT Laws about the OT **DAY OF ATONEMENT** were **FULFILLED AND ACCOMPLISHED**when our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ made complete **ATONEMENT FOR OUR SINS**
The **26 **OT LAWS** for Capital Punishment were eliminated by Jesus when He said: Let him who is without sin among you cast the first stone at the woman who was guilty of the Capital Punishment sin of Adultery!
According to OT Law, as per Exodus 31:14, anyone who does **ANY WORK** on the Sabbath **MUST BE PUT TO DEATH**. According to this OT Commandment Jesus and all of His disciples should have been put to death and God's NT commands teach that every day is the Lord's day especially **TODAY**.
Jesus also commands that everyone love and pray for their enemies and offer up the other cheek, instead of many OT commands to kill your enemies!!
Jesus also eliminated the OT commands to keep many oaths by teaching that making any oath is a terrible sin!!
Jesus also contradicting many OT laws by declaring that all foods are now **CLEAN**!!
Mark 7 :18-21: "Are you so dull," Jesus asked, "Don't you see that nothing that enters a man from the outside can make a man unclean? For it doesn't go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body." By saying this, Jesus declared all foods **CLEAN**! Then Jesus said, "What comes out of a man is what makes him **UNCLEAN** For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, murder, deceit, lewdness, malice, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside, and **MAKE A MAN UNCLEAN**!"
Jesus also changed and improved on the OT Law to love your neighbor as yourself!!
John 13:34,35: A **NEW COMMAND** I give you; Love one another **AS I HAVE LOVED YOU**, so you **MUST** love one another. By this all men will know that you are My Disciples!"
John 15:12-14: Jesus says, "My command is this: Love each other **AS I HAVE LOVED YOU**. Greater love has no one than this: That he lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command!"
