(Lev 19:28 [KJB:PCE])

Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD .

Now, you have the answer.

Identification by association and representation by identification.

Who do we identify with and who do we represent?

If we are representitives of this world then? If we are representitives of God then?

Does our image matter in representation?

Jude,

I am going to say this to you as plainly as possible My name is not Tony and it's not Bob. You can refer to me as IWA or you can stop addressing me at all. Your persistent antagonism is not welcome or appreciated. Quite simply, you need to grow up.

Jude,

Let me spell this out for you again. My name is NOT Tony, it's not Tony Marony, It's not Bob or any other antagonistic slur that you wish to address me by. I do not appreciate your persistent antagonism.

Do you understand the point now? Or do I have to spell it out for you in smaller words?

I don't think people are understanding what I'm saying. I agree that a worldly or vain or idolatrous tattoo is not good for Christians. All I'm saying is, the motive and the heart behind something is what makes it "bad" or "good", especially since God redeems things.

What I'm saying is that the bible DOES NOT condemn every tattoo, just like it DOES NOT condemn every haircut, or every shirt.. And again, if any of you eat pork, the entire bible is full of what God thinks about pigs and eating their unclean meat, there is one tiny verse about printing "marks for the dead". If you consider yourself under liberty for one, then tattoos fall into the same category, especially since that verse only condemns the things used in pagan practices or to other gods.

One of my bestest (I know not a word but its my word) friends if a Baptist preacher. One day a non-Christian who was smoking asked him will smoking send you to hell. He answered no, but it will make you smell like you have been there.

My preacher friend answered rightly the guy smiled and said preacher you are alright and we got to witness to him.

The standard before we are saved is not the same. John said the world is already condemned. The priests of Israel were bringing the Ark back home and when it almost fell two priests grabbed it. They were struck dead by G-d on the spot. However when the Philistines had they ark G-d did not kill them for touching it. Why? Those that know G-d are held accountable for not obeying His commandments. Yes, those that know Y-shua as savior will go to heaven for being saved but we still give an account for our obedience (works).
