Admin	What have you been getting out of your reading the Bible? Posted : 19 Sep, 2013 11:42 AM What's a really good passage you read and what made it so? For me it was John 9. I just felt like I was there and a part of the whole speculation of "Was it really a miracle?" and "What did it mean?" "Does that make him Christ or not?" What would my reaction be if that happened today or if I was there at that time? and thought was cool to follow the reaction and inquiry and how it progressed and the focus on the facts of the matter. I also liked what Jesus said that our handicaps and life's difficulties and unfairness are given to us so that God can be revealed and glorified, not because we did something to deserve it or because God is indifferent to it all. Posted : 19 Sep, 2013 07:45 PM Galatians 3:9 so those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. I have very specific thing I am facing right now. Finally after I came to the end of myself I came to my senses reading this passage. It was an aha moment and I said G-d that�s it just faith in you. And I asked Him to increase my faith. This may not seem like much to the reader of this forum, but it is everything to me. I read for days, prayed for days� even months but because I kept seeking, G-d does what He does best answers in a blink of an eye, which sometimes seems like a lifetime� but when He speaks and His Word goes into that good soil, not just the soil that the weeds grow up and wither away EVERYTHING CHANGES. I may not really know just yet what made it good, or what fruits to expect from reading it, though mine was: When Jacob ressled with God after running away from he's father unlaw Laban, to he's home country so he can face he's brother whom he has betrayed & stole he's blessings. It was not until he ressled with God & was wounded, did he receive a blessing, hense he said to God "i'm not leaving you till you bless me" Its an interesting passage when reading it all. Post Reply
