Is God sending millions of people to a napalm environment forever even if they never heard of Jesus? What does the fulness of Christ formed in us mean? When we physically die does our spirit/soul continue to live on or do we have to wait for a resurrection? Is Jesus really going to have a complete personality change and come back to kill the enemies of Jerusalem? Jesus said the church would heal the sick and do even greater works than done in His time........ is this happening today? These are just a couple of questions we need to consider before moving past WHAT IS THE TRUTH? Post Reply

Posted : 24 Dec, 2013 06:01 AM There are entire books written on the different subjects mentioned above, and I say this just to underline the futility of trying to give any one of these subjects justice in a forum setting. What the church has a problem with is they do not recognize their own straw man teachings that the average person realizes is either not true, or if they are true, would cause the person to not to want any part of what is repugnant to them. Your typical person expects a creator God to be fair and just! God is moe than fair, but that is not the God of the NT church people are hearing about, let alone the God from the OT who in their eyes forces woman who are raped to marry the man who raped them, as well as promote slavery and the killing of babies. If you want to read the utmost in what is repulsive to the average person just go to any one of your typical Christian forums who teach predestination where all the members have already drawn winning lottery tickets before they were born enabling them to live out eternity in mansions while the remaining 99.9% of humanity (including those who never heard of Jesus) burn in tar pits where time has no end. What�s worse yet is churches who teach that these unfortunates persons were predestined to �go to hell and burn forever,� and were never given the opportunity of "whosoever will may come�. Doctrines and Christians like the above are the reason why the church does more to fuel atheism than atheists can ever accomplish on their own. ........... and you can take it to the bank that God is holding the laypersons and not just the clergies responsible for these teachings as well as others that are causing people to turn away from God. (Albeit the clergies will receive the "greater damnation" for being the reason these doctrines are being taught) The Bible is the truth and it spells out God's plan for man, however, it is written in metaphors and allegories that are totally lost upon your typical "student of theology". Unfortunately, these days just an average amount of intelligence and enough money can allow someone to become certified as qualified to teach the things of God. However, true persons of God know the voice of Jesus and are able to discern the difference between good and evil. In Biblical times only those persons with what is regarded as "Biblical signs and wonders following them" were respected enough to be listened to. Even then, if they did not say what people wanted to hear they soon lost the favor of the priests and leaders who are a prophecy of today�s clergy. Miracles are not the answer to the missing knowledge in the church, but the reason they are missing is because the truth of God is missing from the praises being heard coming from the church, which just happens to be the abomination of desolation Jesus warns us to run from. Therefore, Jesus says for us to �come out of her my people�. Doug Post Reply

I couldn't agree with those statements more. And additionally, the bible is written in a way that it's almost like a computer virus. God's word is written to find it's way into our hearts and minds in spite of ourselves. In our "carnal state", we reject God's calls for perfection, but His word finds it's way into our thinking to convict us, and it's even possible just through nature. Logic is God's language, and everything is designed by Him. A person who has never heard of God can discover God's ways simply by observing the world and applying logic. :peace::peace: Post Reply

(John 14:6) Sometimes, we as human beings, we tend to focus so much on finding the truth. We often forget to live. At the end of the day, we can just summarize what the Lord really commanded us to do: to love God will all our heart, mind, soul and strength, and to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. From these 2 commandments spring forth all the other commandments. The search for truth is a noble cause. But the search for understanding and the search for God's heart is far greater than that. Posted : 2 Jan, 2014 08:51 AM @beulah707 Truth is if we have hopes of being made perfect in this life we need to learn the truth of the seven foundational doctrines of Christ as they appear in Heb.6:1-2. Only then can they be moved forward and into the realm of perfection God willing Christians have been given the power to become sons of God but babies are not sons despite having been given the seed from the family of God. He who is sanctified and he who sanctifies are the same meaning there is no difference.......... however how many saints already appear as Christ? None that I know of! Doctrines that teach of when God looks at us He does not see us but sees His Son in our place, are false doctrines coming from the father of all lies Post Reply
