Am I Saved
Posted : 5 Jul, 2015 07:17 AM

I have felt at times in the past that maybe I wasn't saved. Then a great brother told me not to worry, look up Romans ten and ask yourself did I do this.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

You literally have to come to the realization that Christ died for you and everyone. It will make you wonder, what in the world was i waiting for.

JOHN 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Only faith "full belief" in Jesus Christ can provide salvation. Ask in your own way this is just a guide.

"Dear heavenly Father I am sorry Christ had to take the punishment that I deserve." "I ask you Christ that you please forgive me of all my sins. I thank you Lord for your wonderful grace and forgiveness.

After your done tell a pastor at a Christian Church that you have asked Christ for Salvation and go to Sunday school you'll find fellowship to be a great help as you grow as a Christian.

Amen hawkins!

You know, satan will always come in and try to instill doubt in a Christ followers mind. God knew we would doubt so he provided ways for us to examine ourselves.

The spirit testifies to us that we are saved. Jesus said his sheep know his voice!

God has told us to examine ourselves to see that we are in the faith!

Do we hate the sin we once enjoyed?

Do we have a fire in us to tell people about Christ so that they may be saved?

Do we have a hunger for Gods word?

Do we desire to worship and fellowship with others children of God?

1John pretty much lays it all out!

Ten Ways to Know you are really a Child Of God:

1)1 John 1 :7 But if we walk in the light,as he is in the light,we have fellowship one with another. and the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanses us all from sin.

2)1John 1:8 If we say we have no sin the truth is not in us.

3)1John 2:3 And hereby we do know that if we know Him,we keep his commandments.

4)1John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

5)1John 2:23 If any man denies the Son,does not have the Father either. But anyone who confesses the Son has the Father also.

6)1John 3: 1-2 Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God;therefore the world knows us not because the world knows him not! Beloved,we are NOW the sons of God and we cant even imagine what we will be like when Christ returns.

7)1John 3:7 Little children. let no man deceive you; he that does righteousness is righteous even as he is righteous.

8)1John 4:14 If we love our brothers and sisters in Christ we know that we have passed from death to eternal life. But a person who has no love is still dead.

9)1John 4:4 We are of God little children and have overcome them, because

greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.

10)1John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another because love is of God and everyone that loves is born of God and knows God . Anyone who does not love does not know God because God is love.

1John 4:13-15 God has given us his spirit as proof that we dwell in him and he in us. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savoir of the world. Whosoever confess that Jesus is the Son of God,God dwells in him and he in God!

May the grace of God abide in us all:angel:

The thief on the cross only had to believe 2 things.

1. That Jesus was guiltless.

2. That Jesus would enter His kingdom.

I assume that believing those two things implied that the thief believed that Jesus was the messiah that was foretold in the bible, and Jesus promised him that he would be in the kingdom. Those are pretty low requirements for salvation! However, it entails more for our lives, a recognition that Jesus is pure and good, and that we are sinful and bad. Jesus's sacrifice for us is supposed to create a new heart in us, change us into new creatures. So while we can be saved immediately after accepting Jesus into our lives, our new lives are supposed to be lives of transformation into Christ's likeness. Whether we're new christians, or old christians, or christians who have fallen but repented, we can stay on the path as long as we lean on Jesus.

11) True followers of Christ do not stay in a false religion where the church adheres to writings of a false prophetess .

Matthew 7:16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
