Usually, long distance relationships don't work out.

Plenty of us are distant from God as well.

I see you're not in a westernized country so I assume when you say you have tried long distance relationships you mean you have tried getting to know men in another country?

Anyone you reach out to from another country is first going to think you just want them to get you out of you're own home country and so not really interested in them, but what they can do for you. In reality that's what all women want from men. They have a word for it and it's called hypergamy.

That being said women from other countries add another level to that because it requires so many more hoops to jump through before a man can even get to know the person he just spent a lot of time and money on and the chance of her being a scammer is almost a certainty.

Even if you are genuine and that's not what you're about, here in the US and most western countries modern women have devolved into the kind of people that aren't worthy of the very men they look down on. They want to be married but don't want to be wives. Marriage isn't a commitment to them and is looked at as a stepping stone to the B.B.D. (Bigger Better Deal)

Because of this more and more men are getting wiser about women and women are getting dumber about everything. Men are also getting wiser to what the internet has to offer and it's a whole nother level of dishonesty so many like myself can see from past experiences with online dating that if it she looks to good to be true she almost certainly is.

So true! That reminds me of two Monkee songs. "Not Your Stepping Stone" and "Life was out to get me".

"I'm not your stepping stone" and "I thought life was more or less a give and take. Seemed the more I gave, the less I got." Neil Diamond wrote that one for the Monkees. So, even in the 1960's there were signs of things going that way. Women want children by one man and then to marry someone else, and they don't want to have kids through the men they marry. Men are just stepping stones for women now days. Women want to upgrade their situation and improve their circumstances. Men are throw-aways in a "Throw-Away Society".

Hello, I think it can he hard to have a long distance relationship. Cause you cannot hug eachother. ;) If you can see eachother maybe every week or every 2 weeks maybe it can work. Or every month maybe. Thats what I think. Maybe finding someone who is more nearby is an option.

Best greetings,

Gustav Larkens

That's what we enjoy with God

Long Distance Relationship

Is that what you're enjoying with God?

May be some feel an inward presence ...a tingling.

"Lo, I am with you always."

My opinion is to stay local.

Even if one of your long distance relationships worked out, it still wouldn't work out, as marriage leads to divorce. For that reason, Matthew 19:10 says, "If this is the situation between a man and his wife, it is better not to marry." And 1 Corinthians 7:1 says, "It is good for a man not to touch a woman." Paul's opinion is that it is better to remain celibate. I think he is right, but not everyone can accept that teaching. Yet more marriages go the way of divorce. Half the people on this site are divorced, and the other half will become divorced after they marry, so it is indeed better not to marry in the first place. Moreover, it is good not to engage in long distance relationships.

Good the two seconds you were here.

Good we had another woman on the site for a couple seconds.

Now we're back down to just one.

And that's a long-distance relationship we can be happy with.
