I assume that just a few months ago the person was fine with the idea of kicking the can down the road. The financial system been broken for quite some time but there is a group of people that are happy with temporary fixes. That type of person is completely shocked when the "band-aid" comes off. I want to teach people about a concept called --foresight-- means: an act of looking forward examples of how the word is used: They had the foresight to invest the money wisely. His career choice shows a lack of foresight. America’s Founding Fathers had the foresight to recognize that an efficient postal service would be an essential tool of democracy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lz_Ef0rCJjM (Some people say that people that use foresight must work hard...well its mostly mental work. Yet Matthew 5:17-19, Jesus says, 17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven." I did not know that heaven and earth have passed away. Last I looked, they are still here. Moreover, what you are really talking about is divorce and marriage after divorce. You should like Old Testament Law. Under Old Testament Law, a man can divorce his wife and a divorced woman can marry another man and it wasn't even called "adultery". But the New Testament is worse. There Jesus calls it for what it is: "Adultery". So, you should be happy at Old Testament Law which allowed divorce and marriage after divorce, and you should be angry at Jesus for speaking against divorce and speaking against marriage after divorce and raising the bar for Christians. Jesus calls it adultery. Interestingly, you proclaim we are no longer under Old Testament Law which permits divorce and marriage after divorce as divorce is not anywhere in the Ten Commandments. Any intelligent person knows this. But Jesus is an "Intelligent Spirit lead Man teacher" and he knows this. You want to please Jesus, you will go by his teachings. If you do not want to follow Jesus, you will not go by his teachings. Do you want to teach something other than Jesus? Jesus raised the bar. Jesus said that any man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. That is not an Old Testament teaching. The Old Testament allowed divorce and marriage after divorce. That is New Testament. That is not the Law under Moses. That is Jesus. Jesus says that anyone who looks at a woman to lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Jesus says that if a woman divorces her husband and marries another man that she commits adultery. Jesus says that if a man divorces his wife and marries another woman, that he commits adultery. That is a word from God through Jesus. Now you are advocating for Jesus, yet you advocate for divorce and marriage after divorce which Jesus speaks against. Make up your mind! Are you for the teachings of Jesus? Or are you now favoring the Old Testament Law that permits a man to divorce his wife for any reason and permits divorced women to marry other men? Do you favor that more than the teachings of Jesus who spoke against divorce and marriage after divorce and calls such "adultery"? Any "Intelligent Spirit lead Man teacher" can see that you have problems on this issue. Who do you want to serve? Who do you want to preach? Post Reply

That is what John the Baptist did. That is what Paul did. They went for a better resurrection. Scriptures agree with you there. Just like Jesus' disciples said, "If this is the situation between a husband and his wife, it is better not to marry." (Matthew 19:10) Similarly, Paul said, "It is good for a man not to touch a woman." (1 Corinthians 7:1) And Paul thought a widow would be happier not to marry again. But, of course, you know what Paul says 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 and you know what Jesus says Luke 16:18 and Mark 10:12. So, it is good to remain single. And it is good not to advocate for divorce and marriage after divorce when Jesus speaks against divorce and marriage after divorce. But we will be recognized by our fruit. Post Reply
