If it's possible, I would love to see more options for restricting who can message me.
See, I have discovered that being a member of a religion does not guarantee that the member is truly Christian, so I would like to restrict my contacts to those who are, like me, non-denominational.
Would that be possible at some point?
I am very warry of religions, as my unfaithful ex-husband was Catholic.
And, yes, I have put my preference on my profile, but not many men read profiles, apparently. Sorry, I'm just tired of getting messages from guys who are wrong for me.
A lot of people feel that way, but I have learned otherwise. I was raised in the Lutheran religion, and left at my first opportunity because they were focused on pomp and circumstance instead of on Christ.
I think religions are false teachers, and using people's naivette to fool them into thinking they are getting close to God by attending church every Saturday or Sunday. While I believe every religion holds members who have a relationship with Christ, not every member is so deliberate.
Just look at the many episodes of fraud and sexual abuse perpetrated by leaders, or trusted priests, of various religions and see their veil of Holiness fall away.
For me, I have a relationship with God through His Son Christ Jesus, and prefer the man I spend the rest of my life with have the same sort of relationship.
The different doctrines taught by religions only serve to cause strife and petty arguments between believers, wihich is divisive and cautioned against in the Bible (1 Corinthians 1:10-12).
I am sure you are aware that not everyone on Christian dating sites is truly Christian; and some try to fool us by pretending to be Christian. Discernment is necessary to determine who can be believed and trusted. I have already had my trust tested in my life, twice.
I am merely trying to make such discernment easier, if at all possible. I hope you understand, my sister.
I did send my idea to the Admin, and they answered me this morning. They do allow specifiying a specific faith in their advanced search area; but said anything about the restrictions for messaging, so I hope they're considering that.
We'll see what happens. Thanks for responding, Lukia!
Not everyone is a Christian in christian dating sites & in christian churches too. In one of the previous Sunday services, we ladies were warned by my paster (deviating a little from he's main sermon) to watch out for fellow brothers in the church. "Infact a church is one of the most dangerous places to fish from for a mate" he said (but that's onother story for onother day dear one)
Can you believe I was sent a nude picture on my very first day, in a first conversation with someone old enough to be my father?
That was in onother dating site associated with christian dating sites.
Was soooooooooo discusted Cat,
You have no idea my sister. I reported the matter to admin & wanted to deactivate my account with them immediately, guess what...? Was told of 30days waiting period before deactivation of account. Had no interest of opening/reading futher inboxes from their members.
Being honest my inner beeing was not at ease when registering with them. Suppose the Holly spirit was warning me, but really didn't take serious since I was curious & not that familiar with christian dating sites. That was when I found this one, with other healthier sites.
I am so sorry to hear of you having such an awful experience on your first day on a Christian dating site! I would have tried to delete my account, too.
One thing I do love about ChristianDatingForFree is how the Admin watches over their members, so we don't have to see things like that, or even receive nasty messages.
I've had to kindly turn a man down recently, and then received a message from him, but I couldn't read it because the Admin had banned him from the site. He must have been very uncharitable in his communications. ;-)
I hope you have much more positive and wonderful experiences here, my sister, and find the man God has set aside for you!
the age restrictions should change each year up by one year because everyone gets a year older each year that's probably too technical for this I could ever be able to do it if age range is set to a certain age hey you're from now it should go after year and then it should be a year and then next year to go up a year and so on
yeah that's why I talked about having matching question like they have on OKCupid than you can know how someone really feels about something their morals values etc cetera
