You might want to put that in your profile, that you want a man who is Christian enough to respect you and wait until the wedding night to make love. That way, all your suitors know, up front, what you expect from them. Why wait until you're dating them, when it's harder to get them to listen to you? I think it's just a 'sign of our times,' owing to the deterioration of society's culture due to exposure to the entertainment industry's less-than-sterling morality. The men of our day have been taught to expect sex in a relationship. They need to be reminded of what the Bible says about sex outside of marriage. Besides, some people only claim the moniker of "Christian" for the outward appearance of morality, rather than letting it change their hearts for the better. Sad but true. Stick to your guns, girl. Don't let Mr. Charming persuade you to give up your morals for the sake of what he thinks is more important (in his own mind!). If he's a real Christian, he will wait. We live in a world where true intimacy is becoming a thing of the past and lovers of self more than lovers of God and others is surrounding us. Sexual experience does not intimacy make. But this is what we are told, right? We as children are told and exampled by the selfish godless world that sexual experience is the pinicle of relationship. They are so wrong. It is ony in vonerability through verbal expressions of acceptance does true intimacy develop. As we expose our hearts and not our bodies then we can truly see if we are accepted. The whole issue in the garden when intimacy broke down and they hid from eachother. They made coverings because they were ashamed. True genuine intimacy creates an envioroment in relationship for walls, barriers, coverings, etc to be deminished until they exist no more. Finding total acceptance and understanding within ones mate. That is intimacy and the physical prevents this deep intimacy or at least deminishes it. Everyone I believe wants intimacy they just dont know how to find it. So here it is you have found the way to intimacy. It is scary. It is challenging. It is work. But it is worth it!! Post Reply

And should not be the focus when two people are building a relationship, there is so much more to study about each other. In my daring experience dating (after 45) it seems as if there is some sort of rush to get intimate then meet the spiritual mind.. This is why I asked the question,, I like being slow and waiting and depending on God's timing.. "All things work to gather for good to them that love The Lord.. ~blessing~ Post Reply
