Posted : 9 Sep, 2010 09:30 PM Would you be against dating a girl who you found out was actively involved in pornography in college, prior to becoming a Christian? Would your answer be different if she just slept around a lot prior to becoming a Christian? What if she had just had sex once? I don't exactly have the cleanest past to brag about, so it would likely be a lot easier for me than for someone else. While the past does have an effect on the present and the future, I think we still have to trust in the redeeming blood of Christ to wash his people clean. In this day and age, it's definitely something you have to think about. Post Reply
View Profile History	Would you be against dating a girl... Posted : 9 Sep, 2010 10:12 PM In God we trust, all others we wait and see. To me relationships are like Texas hold 'em. No matter what you start with, it could still become something as it goes on, and while there are odds there are no guarantees one way or another. Don't chase what isn't there, only show interest in what is there. Just check or call, maybe after a while if things would start looking better, then I'd start raising and showing more interest. Patience. That's how it is with any relationship though. I don't hold anybody's past against them too much prior to meeting (unless there are consequences that are more, shall we say, lasting), just the present and what they do in it. Post Reply
