I just read a book: "The Shack" -- about a man's personal (physical) encounter with God. Supposed to be a true story. If anyone else has read it -- I would like to hear your opinion of the book.

Dear Artistic, I have not heard of the book but will check into it and get back to you on it. How long have you been on this site? How long have you been a christian? ProphetforHim

I read the book after several of my friends as well as my Christian counselor suggested it and while I have learned that it didn't actually happen. I think that this book has a lot to teach us. I loved it and learned a lot.

If you have an open mind and not "religious", you might enjoy it. It is a challenging read, but I'm not sure about the "true story" bit... I won't spoil the fun by saying more, but the "trinity" portrayed could throw you off-balance. So like I said, an open-mind would appreciate it.
