But shes a pompous, selfish, arrogant princess ...

... and shes your neighbour. Or that woman in the office or on the bus every day. You know she doesnt know the Lord. Maybe nobody showed her the good news of the gospel, or maybe shes apparently rejected it.

How about it ladies... do you witness to her? Do you work on getting through to her?

Do you occasionally pray for her?

What obstacles keep you from being a witness to someone? If they are intimidatingly good looking, or perhaps a little ugly? A lot ugly? If they are grossly over-weight? Or were aggressive? If they are married or live in a nicer neighbourhood than you... or a worse one?

If the Lord gave you express knowledge that this character you have to put up with, or would otherwise be just as glad did not cross your path almost daily, was going to die by Friday afternoon... would you make the effort to tell her about the life preserver you were thrown... salvation in Jesus?

My neighbour of 12 years lived without, and then died without, any dignity on the weekend. She was not old. She was not obviously sick. She was a complainer and consistently miserable. She was dead in her too-hot apartment two days before anyone wondered about her, including her own grown children. The smell alerted neighbours through closed doors and windows. I had talked with her a couple times, years ago. I knew she was a lot of work. If I had known that she was going to meet our maker involuntarily on Friday, would I have done anything differently?

Would you?

I try to love her. We are always witnessing whether we like it or not. The topic of faith with araises as it does ... what did you do on the weekend? I A, B, C, went to Church... Then trust that God will give me the words to answer any questions she may have.

Very refreshing to hear a brother caring for a woman's soul in this way. Blessings to you sir, I think when a man approaches a woman to witness to her and care for her and not just approach her in a relationship sence, wow, what a witness, you are being Jesus to her, think of the woman at the well and how she must have felt when a Man, different then all others she had seen in her life, approached her to warn her of her path and give her love and Mercy from heaven:) :applause::applause::applause::applause::applause::angel:

Ugggg,

Make a girl feel guilty, will you?

Actually, I am dealing w/this issue right now (or rather God is dealing w/me). A coworker that nobody likes because she steals customers, lies and is nasty. Yes, I need to behave when I go back to work (family leave for 6 months and I haven't worked w/her yet and she was already nasty to me and lied to me) this Sunday. I need to show her the Christ in me. Thanks for a piece to the accountability puzzle.

I am truly truly sorry about your neighbor.

Audrey

I don't seem to have a problem being bold in this area...I struggle when it comes to those who are muslim. I know I should witness to them and I do try as I live in apartments where more and more muslims are moving in. I pray for God to make me bold there as well. I often wonder if it is 9/11 that holds me back some as well.
