Have you already met them?

There are many scammers here. They use photos of men they fooled with fake profiles of women on other sites

Here are a few characteristics of those fake profiles. Most of them are:

- New members

- In their 40's or 50's

- Catholic

- Looking for women in their late 30's up to 60 or more

- Military or self employed

- Widowed

- Mixed or from a country else than US (to explain their bad English)

- Easy to fall in love

My sister met one of them who said he was an artist and after about one month exchanging emails, he asked her $ 200 to subscribe to a sculpture competition.

Have you ever met this kid of scammers?

Scammers come on all shapes and sizes . Your list would be a mile long if this were possible.

Let the Lord guide you in all things!

Ask God for discernment.

May Gods grace abide

The female ones tend to follow a different profile than these guys you mentioned, the first difference is they're usually younger. I will say however I have actually encountered more on other dating sites than here. Although I do agree they tend to fall ridiculously quickly there's at least one genuine person that did as well, so just because of that isn't a reason to dismiss someone as a scammer by itself.

Sometimes let the hand of God guide you in every endeavor you have, may it be online chatting or looking for someone here. But with due respect to you sister, I just don't think that it is right in my own perspective to list the kind of people who you think are into scamming. Not all you have mentioned I guess are into scamming. I do understand your point, that you just do care for your sisters and brothers not to get into scamming, but listing without valid proof could be a bit negative to those people who are innocently part of your list.

Still I just hope that you understand my point also, and I hope that whoever those scammers are, may they have the Lord God in them to realize the light in doing good things to others. :peace:

One type claims a high level of education, but makes simple spelling errors.

But flattery is the biggest thing that raises my suspicions.

About spelling errors. That alone will not identify a person as a scammer. Sometimes when a person is typing veryvfast they might misspell a word or two. It has happened to me on numerous occasions.
