New Year's Resolutions

Do you make New Year's Resolutions? Do you think making them is appropriate for Christians?

Personally, I make several New Year's Resolutions and seek to pray about at least one of them each morning and evening.

Though I never keep them all, over the years they've helped me progress toward improvements in various ways.

Though any day is a great one to commit to positive change, New Year's Day seems especially appropriate.

I don’t make New Year’s resolutions as such, I do like to set out my goals for the year. At the end of the year it’s good to see how many I’ve achieved…:-)

I think to actively try & achieve your goals is definitely appropriate for Christians. It’s certainly preferable to doing nothing & waiting for God put what every your hoping for in your lap…:-)

Jazee, thanks for your responses. I agree that it's good and appropriate for Christians to set goals and to actively seek to attain them.

While I do set New Year's Resolutions, I also set goals at other times of the year.
