Thought this would be something special for all of us to share from our hearts with each other.

Some of us probably give more thought into our choices for a username and "headline" than others, I know.

I chose my new username of "BarefootGuyTo Love" because, on the one hand, that's what I hope I will be to that BAREFOOT SPECIAL GAL I'm seeking to find, and on the other hand, its a guy's version of the feeling and statement that Jack Nicholson's character said to Diane Keaton's character in one of my BAREFOOT FAVORITE romantic comedies: "Something's Got To Give"!!! :applause::applause::applause: ... Jack's character said to Diane's character, after she had helped him recover from a mild heart attack: "You are ... a woman to love!" ... and as she turned to leave the room, smiling happily, she said to herself: "Oooooou!!! ... What does THAT mean?", wondering, it appeared, just how deeply and sincerely he felt that and whether that meant there could become more to their relationship, which she would, obviously, like and welcome ... so ... this is part of the reason I chose "BarefootGuyToLove" as MY username.

Then I chose my "headline" to simply share what my heart hopes to find and share with THAT BAREFOOT SPECIAL GAL who would love me and going barefoot with me and being creative "unto the Lord" together ... nothing more "behind the headline"to that ... so ... now ... YOUR turn, gals ... and guys, "jump in here too", K?

Okay, I'll share.

I suppose the story begins when I was 5. My parents had purchased this property and were seeing an architect to discuss house plans. I was in afternoon kindergarten so I got to go along to all of their morning appointments. It was special time with just the 3 of us because my brother was in 2nd grade so he was in school ALL day. And the architect was really handsome and really nice. He always smiled at me and gave me a balloon and a lollipop and some crayons and papers to colour on. So I just loved going to see the architect.

And then my mother introduced me to the Brady Bunch. And the husband/father on there is an architect. And I thought he was a great husband/father, so that solidified my *love* for architects. And my parents thought I should be an architect because I'm mathy and they didn't want me to waste my mathiness. So they did all they could to promote this whole thing.

And then I took my first architecture class in college. It was a survey of architecture class and the instructor was drop-dead gorgeous. Like movie star handsome. Like I could barely concentrate on the lecture he was so gorgeous. And, he, of course, was an architect in a addition to being an instructor. I was completely enraptured by the whole thing... him and the way he talked about architecture.

Flash forward to my junior year of college. I was at the university bookstore and I literally ran into this guy (named Tim). We were both in the art supply section and I wasn't being observant apparently. And I wouldn't have normally been interested because he was 20 years older than me (and looked it), but we just started talking and there was this amazing connection. I was drawn to this guy like a magnet. I can't even really explain the connection... So I asked him what he did for a living. And he told me that he was an architect!! (And he was also a poet and and an artist and he showed his work in galleries all over Seattle). So even though he was 20 years older than me, I just couldn't resist. I was completely taken in. So we exchanged contact information and started chatting regularly.

And one day when we were talking (like 10 years ago), I was signing up for something online and I was like, "I need a username. Help me pick a username." He said that I should be Pixy. And it just kinda stuck! And over the years that we communicated, he called me that more often than he called me Heather. And it fits... because I'm short like a pixy, and I like pixy stix, and I love Tinker Bell and she's a pixy. Oh, and apparently, according to Tim, I used to be a little fiery like a pixy. I'm tamer now, though! Which is both good and bad, I suppose...

As for my headline, it's the Bible verse that was on the front of the bulletins at my uncle's memorial service several years ago. It had this picture on the front of it of him and his wife with that verse below it. And it's just stuck in my head as a good verse for marriage. And that's the kind of marriage I want: one that magnifies the Lord and where we exalt His name together.

Ok now you're just messing with me! Clearly, "What's the story behind your username?" would have been waaaay shorter! Hahaha

My username is pretty self explanatory. Its my first and middle name. And the first initial of my last name. I wasn't shooting for creativity, I guess lol.

My headline reads, "All Who Wander Are Not Lost" and its deeply personal. I am a rare breed of human being. Unlike my peers, I do not have a physical place called home. I am a nomad. I wander the earth looking for opportunities. I volunteer. I stay in the homes of strangers, the basements of Churches. I camp in cities and woods.

I have dedicated my life to venturing from place to place. Working and volunteering. I am not a missionary. I am not there to convert. I am there to lend a helping hand.

People assume I am running. Or that I am a lost soul. Because I chose not to have roots in any one place. I have a "home base" and its the place where my close friends and immediate family live.

I am not lost. I do not need to be found. And its a life and experience I would like to share with someone someday. I just wish they could see beyond the physical world. The things we own and have. These objects that make up a life. A moment in time. But moments are fleeting. Tangible possessions break.

We are ourselves. Our bodies. Our minds. We are feet on a road.

Our lives should be more than just the sum of its parts.

As a Friend, I live a life of testimonies. Equality, Simplicity, Integrity, and Peace. And I do that in my own...wandering way.

My user name is the nick name my friends and family call me. I have no Idea where it came from I have just always been called Dee Dee..and 72 is the year I was born.

I must say though a guy on here had the user name "poison" something. It was a great conversation starter. I was intrigued.....

Nicole, I love the headline, "All who wander are not lost." There's a line, I think in a movie, that says something to the effect of, "Home is where you are." Basically, even if you only live somewhere for one day, it's still home. And people initially were nomads anyway!

My username is what it is because I have a serious lack of creativity and couldn't think of anything better, haha. I love horses, so that was just what I picked for the moment. On another site, I had "geekygirl" because I'm so into sci-fi/fantasy. I just pick whatever fits the first interest I can think of, haha. And 1984 is the year I was born.

As for my headline, "A modern day Rebekah," I honestly just couldn't think. Again a lack of creativity. But what it means is, Rebekah is the woman in the Bible with whom I most relate. There is a lot about her in the Bible compared to most other women, particularly in the OT. She had a spirit of adventure and a willingness to go. She was brave. If God said, "Go," she went. The story of when Abraham's servant went and found her and brought her to Isaac speaks to me on many levels.

I recently went to a website about meaning of baby's name (I was helping out a pregnant frriend at that time lol) and I was curious about mine. Mine happened to be just that "God is Gracious" and I was amazed! It really does sum up my life...it reminded me of that verse that talks about God "knit me in my mother's womb" and how He has a plan for my life. I know that I am not an accident!!

"just haven't met you yet"- Well, Michael Buble is a pretty amazing singer and I love that song and just happens to apply to me at this time haha
