Admin	Where are the marriage minded ladies? Posted : 3 Dec, 2010 07:23 PM It surprises me how many christian ladies on this site are not seeking a marriage partner. I know some may seek a long term or friend first with the possibliity of marriage. And btw what is a worship partner and where in the bible would I find that for those seeking such? I`m just curious why more ladies on a christian site are not seeking marriage. Do they not want to pose as desperate? Post Reply

Posted : 4 Dec, 2010 03:45 AM A worship partner would be someone whom you want to worship God with, where the two of you and praise him together. Since worship is something we do with all our our being and life, worship partner is someone we want to spend the rest of our life with i.e husband or wife. Post Reply

My profile gets more views that way, and it cuts down on the marriage proposals from foreign countries. :applause: When I said that I was looking for a "long-term relationship" or "a marriage partner", I got a lot of views from middle-aged (and older) men, and winks and messages from the same. No offense, but I'm not looking for a long-term relationship with or marriage to someone who could be my father! Post Reply

I set mine to marriage because I got tired of being contacted by men just wanting an email friend, or who just wanted to go on some dates. I wanted to be taken seriously, by men who were seriously looking. 'Course that hasn't worked out so well..... but I am keeping my status. As for worship partner.... I have not seen that. Don't men and women do that in church already? By singing and praying in service, or being on a choir, or being part of a prayer team? Post Reply

Pretty much everybody on here seems to want to get married in the near future for whatever reason, but putting that you are specifically interested in marriage on your profile attracts the extremely desperate ones that don't even need to know your real name before popping the question in all caps in an instant message. I would look at their status more as a guideline as to how seriously they want to pursue marriage. Those who state that they are looking for a friend, or a date simply want to start out very slow and just see where things go. Those who state that they want a long term relationship or marriage partner are willing to pursue a more serious relationship, knowing from the start that this may lead to marriage. Of course as the ladies have said above, that also does not mean that they want to be proposed to on the first or second date (or even the third). Post Reply

Myself, I am young and a college student, so even though I want marriage, I anticipate that it may be a while before I do get married. At the very least I want to finish a part of my schooling before I even consider it. Marriage is a really big decision to make, and I want to take it seriously. So, with any girl who seems interested in friendship first, that doesn't mean she doesn't want you to pursue, it just means that she wants to take her time getting to know you before anything becomes serious.
