Admin	Have you seen....? Posted : 31 Dec, 2010 01:14 PM Chronicles of Narnia, Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Have you seen it?...comments? I have seen all three, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. And Caspian. This one was a little different, maybe cause it wasn't done by Disney? Anyway, God had a message for me in some lines of the movie: "I have been wanting what was taken from me. When I should be wanting what is given me" Wow!...truth straight to the heart! Btw, I loved the movie! Post Reply

The first was exceptional...the second was good but seemed to be missing something the first movie had... The when walden media failed to change something about the third movie to Disney's liking Disney dropped funding which threatened the whole movie's existence...luckily new funding was found and the third was made albeit a year late. I do not know the details of the dispute between walden media and Disney but seems the third movie regained what was lacking from the second movie. I own the first two and will be buying the third when it comes out on dvd. I just wonder if they will make a forth movie since the pevensies are not part of the next book...hmm Post Reply

I was around seven years old when a high school student read the lion, the witch and the wardrobe to me. I remember that summer: sitting under the stars, listening to her read, and the world opening up. In addition to writing the Chronicles of Narnia, C.S. Lewis is a renowned Christian writer and scholar. His faith seems to have infused everything he touched in a wonderful and refreshing way. As for Disney, they are no longer the same company begun by Walt. Before buying their products and supporting them, please do a bit of investigation into their current policies and beliefs. I do not wish to engage in slander, but would encourage people to be educated consumers. Our dollars are our voices with so many companies/organizations. Post Reply

Of course, the movies are no where NEAR as good as the books. They are my absolute favorite books ever, and I've read them all about 10 times. No, I'm not exaggerating. If you've never seen the older BBC versions of the first 4 books (in three movies...Caspian and Voyage were combined into one movie with two parts), I highly recommend them. The special effects are outdated, but they have a distinct charm to them that the new movies are lacking. They are also VERY true to the books. Post Reply
