Guys and girls, what would you do if you had a million dollars?

I would tithe, invest a portion for my retirement, purchase a modest home, and help my mom financially as needed. If there was any left over, I would take a nice vacation and/or give it to a worthy charity.

I would like to say that I would spend part of it on church, but yeah, realistically, probably spend it all on me.

Hey twosparrow I can see your logic in it. They both get good gas mileage and they both have their power in their trunk.

I've thought about this and have been asked before. I can never seem to make up my mind what would be the best thing to do.

I'd like to believe that the first $100,000 would go to my church, but let's be honest here. I'm walking into the local Audi dealership and buying a blue S4 with a manual transmission the second that check hits my account. I'd give at least 1/10th to church, a good bit to my parents, pay off school, then invest the rest. Part of that investment might go towards two new motorcycles though...

I think it would be fun to go up to a McDonald's drive through and pay with a $50 every time, then tell the guy to use the change to pay for the rest of the line until it ran out.

Nice Tulip, very nice. :)

As for me, I would pay off my student loans as well as those of a couple of friends. Then, get my truck completely restored from the inside out (oh what a delight and treat that would be). After, a friend is working so hard and she and her husband can only afford on vehicle which makes things a bit tough with their work schedules. So, we would go to a dealership and let them each pick out the brand new car of their choice (neither has ever had a new car). Thinking somewhere in there would borrow Tulip's McDonald idea except move it to a local restaurant and simply pay for everyone there one night. A large chunk would go to finish building a school where I used to be a missionary and putting indoor plumbing in the preacher's house. Then a portion would be set aside into a special account where that preacher could draw from each month to support him and his family. They have lived so long in poverty as they serve the Lord. The remainder I would give to my mother. She could do whatever she wanted, go wherever she wanted and just have fun without counting pennies.

I would pay off my school loans and then use it as I need it. Although I would probably extend my normal trip to Ohio and Nebraska to include Texas and South Dakota to visit friends I haven't seen in years! And also to New Jersey to visit my aunt and cousins.
