But that said, neither do I want a man to have too much experience with girls and have high expectations for me. If I had to choose I would choose an older guy who hasn't had a ton of relationship history. It just feels like at my age, if I want to find a man equal to me in maturity, upwards is the way to go. My roommate (also 19) is dating someone who's 23-25 or so and wow... he is very different from guys my age :) Post Reply

Posted : 16 Apr, 2011 11:58 PM I don't think I could date someone younger than me, simply because I have always been more mature for my age, so I have a hard time finding things in common with people who aren't older than me. My best friend is nine years older than me, and most men I find myself interested in are an average of five years older than me. I don't do it on purpose, but I do find it easier to talk to older men than younger ones. Post Reply

Posted : 17 Apr, 2011 12:41 PM I think one of the most frustrating things with women is when they set their age minimum above their actual age. You may tend towards older men, but to refuse to accept messages from anyone your age or even a year or two older seems ridiculous to me. On top of that, when a 22 year old girl sets her age range at 30-50, it screams scammer/gold digger to me. Post Reply

(By 10 or 20 years!) So, maybe that makes us even then? :nahnah: I think ideally I would like to date someone around 5 years +/- my age. Too much younger or older begins to create generational differences that create a problem; it can make bonding with that person difficult. Just in my experience. Posted : 18 Apr, 2011 12:03 PM My mum is almost 10yrs younger than my dad....an thats my reason for stickin to maybe allow a guy 10yrs(not more) older than me to date or marry.abt the younger bit...am not really into it...never been in that situation either...i would even rather date a guy 2yrs older...believe me!lol Post Reply
