What about those Atheist “gotcha” questions for Christians.

Here a question that often comes around.

It concerns God ordering the total destruction of certain OT people groups which includes women and children.

So is it right for God to order genocide⁉️

Just a few things to keep in mind.

1. Usually atheist questioners provide little or NO context on which to base their inquiries.

2. God, who inspired the entire Bible, doesn’t seem embarrassed providing this kind of information

3. If God isn’t embarrassed about his historic judgments then why should I be embarrassed to explain them.

An observation-

Some people in the habit of complaining about God’s righteous judgements remain supportive of killing innocent children by sadistic abortion techniques and/or neglecting until death any baby who managed to survive a botched abortion attempt.

Biblical contexts ignored by atheist.

God waited patiently, like 👉👉400 years👈👈 for the Canaanites (I think Canaanite?), to repent‼️‼️

Instead of repenting they doubled down on child sacrifice‼️‼️

Funny thing, atheists complain about how bad the world is but when God does something about it they complain about that too.

Another case:

God was about to destroy a very wicked and violent city named Nineveh but in his grace and mercy, God sent an unwilling prophet named Jonah to warn them about the impending doom.

But Nineveh was spared because they repented at the preaching of Jonah and God withheld judgment.

Atheists and even some “Christians”—who are actually “practical atheists” themselves, don’t seem to realize that God is also a judge and he has a right to judge.

God postponed the destruction of Nineveh because they humbled themselves as Jonah's preaching.

Nahum 3:7

All who see you will flee from you and say, ‘Nineveh is in ruins—who will mourn for her?’ Where can I find anyone to comfort you?”

THE FLOOD swept the earth. Grace was one man and his family escaped and two of every kind of animal. There is evidence for the flood. Even Al Gore spoke of one of his classmates saying how neatly the continents seemed to fit together. Now science acknowledges that. But atheists are slow to acknowledge anything. However, there is a movement for "Intelligent Design". But cause complexity and minute detail gets hard to explain away. Accident does not explain what atheists want to say.

You’re right about that

Atheists👉👉claim👈👈that it is they who do not believe in God but God doesn’t believe in atheists

Romans 1:18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who 👉👉👉suppress the truth👈👈 by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is 👉👉plain to them because God has made it plain to them👈👈. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—👉👉have been clearly seen👈👈, being understood from what has been made, so that people are 👉👉👉without excuse👈👈.

21 For 👉👉although they knew God,👈👈 they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their 👉👉thinking became👈👈 futile and their 👉👉foolish hearts were darkened👈👈. 22 Although they 👉👉claimed to be wise, they became fools👈👈 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

You can be sure that intelligent design will perhaps become the next generation theory for origins but not until they’ve eliminated the True God from the matrix. Instead they’ll try to introduce another god that won’t hold them accountable. Maybe the anti-christ ⁉️
