It just seems like using your logic, we can murder, but we can't say murder is right. I just don't think that is the case. We're supposed to be new creatures, dead to sin, no longer living in sin, bringing our bodies into subjection. Jesus compared two extremes, either dying for our sin, or cutting off our hand if it causes us to sin, that is how abhorrent sin should be to us, especially for the believers. I'm not saying that we need to be a pharisee to keep the law, I'm saying that if we're new creatures, if we're born again, if we love God and our fellow man, we will not only abhor sin, we will try to stop sinning, and since sin is only known by the law, we will desire to keep the law naturally with our new natures that we receive from the new birth. "The law will be written on their hearts and minds". None of that is possible without Christ, but with Him, we can have victory. If you say "no, we can't", then I think the bible is speaking about you here:
"Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."
God is calling us to stop sinning, not apart from Him, but with His power. Since we only know sin because of the law, when we flee from sin, we will be keeping the law. And just to be clear, I'm not speaking about the ordinances of the temple, or circumcision, etc. Those were all pointing to Christ. We are the temple now, we are the "circumcision" of the spirit. For many of these things, we have moved out of the shadow, and into the light that Christ revealed, but we still are not supposed to commit adultery, steal, murder, covet, dishonor our parents, blaspheme God, etc. Those are all thorns, we're supposed to bear fruit.
As i had written before John 8:36 Therefore, if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.
The freedom afford to believers in Yesuha is such, that if a person were to be in adultery,or kill someone or would be in any other type sin this would not affect their Salvation.
Salvation does not depend upon me not committing adultery,or not killing someone,Salvation is dependent upon Faithing into Yeshua to save me from the wrath of GOD Almighty.
IF a person is in any sin, will not the Holy Spirit deal with that in the persons life, and He will also deal with the person Himself.
Could a person commit the above sins,YES,but why would you want to do that.
Too many people will NEVER understand the freedom which Messiah has given to His people, yet most people live in FEAR,and is that not sin in itself.
Oh but we do not want to examine ourselves to closely, for we might see just how badly we do sin.
Mark remember EVERY sin against Yeshua is forgiven,ONLY blaspheming the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
Blessings
Oh and we do not PRODUCE the fruit of the Holy Spirit we are recipients and we CARRY fruit.
"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
All sins can be forgiven except for blasphemy against the holy spirit, but sins are not forgiven unless they are repented of.
"But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
Rev 21:8 "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
GNWS:
Mark, that sOunds pretty much like most 'christians'.
Most will never proclaim the Gospel to anyone,OH yeah that is right ,most only know what the so called 'pastors tell the people
Mark says:
All sins can be forgiven except for blasphemy against the holy spirit, but sins are not forgiven unless they are repented of.
GNWS:
Mark,HOW much of your SIN did Messiah Yeshua take upon Himself to Calvary,in order that He,Yeshua would take the judgement of GOD Almighty upon Himself,so that you and others by FAITH into Yeshua would not have to be judged for your sin. ALL of your sin.
When did He do this,BEFORE YOU WERE BORN; Messiah did not wait for you to REPENT of your sin in order that you would be forgiven.
According to the WILL of the Father,Messiah had taken ALL of your sin to be judged, and you did not even know that.
Isa 53:1 Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of Jehovah revealed?
Isa 53:2 For He comes up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form nor magnificence that we should see Him; nor form that we should desire Him.
Isa 53:3 He is despised and abandoned of men, a Man of pains, and acquainted with sickness. And as it were hiding our faces from Him, He being despised, and we did not value Him.
Isa 53:4 Surely He has borne our sicknesses, and He carried our pain; yet we esteemed Him plagued, smitten by God, and afflicted.
Isa 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His wounds we ourselves are healed.
Isa 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have each one turned to his own way; and Jehovah made meet in Him the iniquity of all of us.
Isa 53:7 He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, but He did not open His mouth. He was led as a lamb to the slaughter; and as a ewe before her shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth.
Isa 53:8 He was taken from prison and from justice; and who shall consider His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living; from the transgression of My people, the stroke was to Him.
Isa 53:9 And He appointed Him His grave with the wicked, but He was with a rich man in His death; though He had done no violence, and deceit was not in His mouth.
Isa 53:10 But Jehovah pleased to crush Him, to make Him sick, so that If He should put His soul as a guilt offering, He shall see His seed; He shall prolong His days; and the will of Jehovah shall prosper in His hand.
Isa 53:11 He shall see the fruit of the travail of His soul; He shall be fully satisfied. By His knowledge the righteous One, My Servant, shall justify for many, and He shall bear their iniquities.
Isa 53:12 Because of this I will divide to Him with the great, and with the strong He shall divide the spoil; because He poured out His soul to death; and He was counted with those transgressing; and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for those transgressing.
John 19:30 Then when Jesus took the vinegar, He said, It has been finished. And bowing His head, He delivered up the spirit.
Mark, what is a person to do after having trusted Yeshua to save them from the wrath of GOD,CONFESS their sin,and unbelief, then as the Holy Spirit empowers the person,to REPENT of their UNBELIEF.
Mark says:
"But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."

Mark, did you happen to translate this verse of GOD Almighty's Word,if you did you would know that the English is not correct.
Mat 6:14 For if you forgive men their deviations, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Mat 6:15 But if you will not forgive men their deviations, neither will your Father forgive your deviations.
The 'english' word 'forgive' means to SEND AWAY; like the scapegoat Israel was to have Arron place his hands on the head of the scapegoat, confess the sins of the people, the goat was released into the forest. The other
goat was to be the sacrifice for their sins of the people to be forgiven for that year.
Please know this Mark, had GOD Almighty waited for anyone to repent of their sin in order for Him to forgive their sin,NOT ONE PERSON WOULD BE SAVED.
So if David would not have repented of his sin, he still would have been saved? If you're preaching "once saved, always saved", then I definitely think you are incorrect.
Matthew 18:21
23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.
24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.
25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.
28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.
29 And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
30 And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.
31 So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:
33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
Matthew 25
34Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Luke 13
6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.
Romans 11:17
17And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; 18Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. 19Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. 20Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: 21For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. 22Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. 23And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. 24For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
I think we're getting a little off topic though, are we at least agreed that sin is the transgression of the law?
For centuries millions of Christians have gathered to worship God on the first day of the week. Graciously He has accepted this worship. He has poured out His blessings upon Christian people as they have sought to serve Him. However, as one searches the Scriptures, he is forced to recognize that Sunday is not a day of Gods appointment It has no foundation in Scripture, but has arisen entirely as a result of custom, says Frank H. Yost, Ph.D. in The Early Christian Sabbath.
[quote]
I realize I lack the degree of the man quoted. And he may have an answer for what I'm about to point out. But there early church, as recorded in the NT, did meet on the first day of the week.
Not only on the day of the Resurrection (John 20:1), but a week later when Jesus returned and addressed Thomas (John 20:19), when meeting at Troas (Acts 20:7), and as a rule in Corinth (1 Cor 16:2). John also recounts being "in the Spirit on the Lord's Day" which appears to indicate particular on a particular day.
So the shift to worship on the first day of the week is not without some Biblical support. It wasn't merely b/c a Pope said so. :)
Now let me get this straight IF Worship of GOD Almighty is to be on the first day of the week, then what happens the rest of the week.
Oh yeah, right, since the 'worship band' only meets the first day of the week,we cannot worship GOD Almighty because we need the band, rather a man to lead worship.
I read within the Scripture to Worship GOD Almighty in Spirit and truth; I did not know that Spirit and truth was only on the first day of the week.
John 4:23 But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. For the Father also seeks such, the ones worshiping Him.
John 4:24 God is spirit, and the ones worshiping Him must worship in spirit and truth.
Secondly,Biblically to rest was the Sabbath and that was from Friday sunset until Saturday sunset usually from 6:00 pm Friday until 6:00 pm Saturday.
ANYONE is able to Worship GOD Almighty anytime, anywhere they want to Worship Him,but the worship band things definitely in not of GOD Almighty.
Hoosier, the disciples technically met together everyday, the point is that there is a law and a command to honor God's creative work, there is no command for honoring the first day.
It wasn't until some time after Constantine made Christianity the Roman Empires official religion that the first day of the week began to be considered more holy. Sunday was the main religious day of the pagan religion of the time, and in the same way that the church adopted the pagan idols and associated them with apostles, they also changed and adopted pagan feasts and holy days(Easter, Christmas, All Saints day/Halloween, Sun day, etc) and gave them Christian meaning. They also adopted the pagan "priest" and "virgin" castes, and renamed the idols and worship of the pagan god Diana to represent a sinless Mary, the mother of Jesus. All of that is evidence to support the idea that Man-made tradition supplanted the many of doctrines of the church and the commands of God until the reformation started to clean things up.
Additionally, the term "the Lord's Day" was simply hijacked for use with the first day. There is no association of the term "Lord's Day" with the first day of the week. Jesus said that the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath, that's the only place in the bible that gives a clue about which day is the Lord's Day. Anyway, I just feel that anything associated with pagan tradition and that is put before a command of God or a truth that the bible teaches, is absolutely not a good thing. God will wink at our ignorance if we simply don't know what we're supposed to do, but we should be seeking the truth so that we can truly be free. If we're willfully following a tradition of man, we're not free in Christ, we're slaves to men and their constantly changing ideas.
Isaiah 58:13-14
13 If thou turn away thy foot from the Sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honorable; and shalt honor him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
And yes, I do believe we can worship God all the time and anywhere, but that is still not the issue. God made a day holy, apart from the other days, to honor Him as our creator. The first day was not made holy by God.
