Before I answer, allow me to preface; I am not a Paul hater. However at one time I was and before that I believed his writings were the divine inerrant words of God. After much study and research I now take the postion his letters are interesting, edifying midrash. However this midrash is now misunderstood, perverted and then wrongly elevated to and above the words of God and Jesus by well meaning but ignorant Christians.
To answer; I use multiple translations more than I want to list. Typically I'll revert back to interlinears and the most literal such as the NASB, NKJV, and the ESV just as I suppose most who do serious study. However they all lack a Jewish perspective therefore I very much enjoy the CJB (Complete Jewish Bible by David Stern). It is worth buying this Bible for the Introduction alone. There is a Study Bible in this translation, it is rather bulky but worth the notes.

Much of my study hinges on 'Replacement Theology'. This is why I've had to deal with Paul's letters head on. Do they actually say what people say they say? If so this creates numerous problems in the larger context of Scripture unless one factors in a 'Two Covenant Theology'.

I apologize for inserting myself into your conversation with Prophetic. I try my best to stick with simple Scripture. Jesus explicitly says some things such as no one knows him except the Father and that he spoke the very words and did the very actions of the Father. Therefore in seeing Jesus we see the Father. However what Jesus NEVER explicitly says is he is God. One must make an unnecessary mental leap to say Jesus is God in a way other than Jesus taught.
I confess my ignorance regarding most of the contents and especially the authors you mentioned in your last 2-3 posts. So until I’m able to collate and analyze the information you’ve provided as objectively as I can any comments I ad will just amount to wind and ashes.
