Is "Once Saved, Always Saved" what the Bible teaches?

The Bible says "REMAIN in me and I will REMAIN in you" (John 15)

If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. (John 15:6)

Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. (Romans 11:22) NIV

or

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in His goodness. Otherwise, thou also shalt be cut off. Romans 11:22 (King James)

Our assurance of salvation is while we REMAIN in Christ and CONTINUE IN THE LORD.

But some of them had a false assurance of salvation.

Then there’s the OTHER side of the horse for those who fall off on that side. These poor folk think “once saved always saved” means they now have a license to sin in any-o-way they choose‼️‼️‼️‼️

Those folk are in for a rude awakening on judgement day because Jesus clearly warns that not everyone who says “Lord Lord” enters heaven but ONLY he who DOES the will of God. WORSE yet, these folk will desperately serve up all the works they’ve done such as “doing stuff in the name of Jesus, doing miracles, prophecies and all the other as proof they deserve heaven but Jesus says they will all end up in hell‼️‼️‼️

Jesus said, "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit." (John 15:16)

Then there is the subject of "pre-destination".

So then, those that do not remain in Christ and do not continue in THE LORD were NEVER SAVED IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Now you’re talking‼️‼️

John even affirms the fact that certain people NEVER had salvation.

1 John 2:19 English Standard Version

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.

Well chosen verse

and reminds me of another verse

Acts 15:37-40

Who is saved and not saved

is for God to sort out.

My premise is that assurance of salvation is for those that REMAIN in Christ and CONTINUE in THE LORD. Apart from Jesus, we are as good as dead.

Moonlight who never has admitted to being wrong in anything she has said says this: QUOTE: “Continued attacks on me shows your ignorance and misuse of my username is not allowed.END QUOTE

LD: Actually my “attacks” (as you call them) are aimed squarely at your false beliefs. All I do is expose your false beliefs. As for your user names, let me help, those are names you gave yourself.

Moonlight says QUOTE: “You are the One in Error and like being Right!” END QUOTE

LD: Wished you liked being right too—apparently you are content to live in error‼️‼️😇 If I’m in error, why am I so right⁉️🤣

Moonlight says QUOTE: “I have teachers that can draw circles around all your errors and attacking many True christians on this site at times. Seek Jesus”END QUOTE

LD: If you are a product of your teachers best efforts then it’s easy to conclude that your teacher’s expertise more or less exists solely in your imagination. In fact, if they do exist, I would LOVE to invite them to the forum.
