GOD has great plans, but with faith comes action. That goes for me too. I am glad i heard it today. It is very important to take a verse and put it into context. Here they are, ESV Jeremiah 29:11-13 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. Post Reply
LittleDavid View Profile History	Jer 29:11 Posted : 28 Aug, 2025 05:39 AM Ok, so why was Israel sent away to Babylon for 70⁉️ Because Israel again disobeyed God‼️ Because they failed to keep the land’s one-year-in-seven sabbath for 490 years‼️ So God set Babylonian captivity at 70 years to make up the years of disobedience‼️. 2 Chron. 36:21 says, “The land enjoyed its sabbath rests; all the time of its desolation it rested, until the seventy years were completed in fulfillment of the word of the LORD spoken by Jeremiah.” a reference to Jeremiah 25:11. LittleDavid View Profile History	Jer 29:11 Posted : 28 Aug, 2025 05:42 AM What about the prior promise made to Israel that they would be the first and not the last⁉️ That they would also dwell in the promised land forever⁉️ The promise was based on Israel’s faithful observance of God’s law. LittleDavid View Profile History	Jer 29:11 Posted : 28 Aug, 2025 05:56 AM What happened⁉️ Did God break his word by sending the Israelites off to the land Babylon for 70 years ⁉️ One might tend to falsely believe that God did not keep his word but only if that one dose not study the entire context‼️ Post Reply
