In an earlier post, I posted Judges chapter 4, the account of Deborah as a judge over Israel.

At the time, Israundead been oppressed by Jabin, king of Canaan. Deborah told General Barak to get 10,000 soldiers to fight Sisera. General Barak only did what she said because she agreed to go with him. The victory was won by another woman, Jael, who hammered a tent nail through Sisera's head.

What would have happened to Israel if Deborah had not been bold enough to fulfill her role?

What would have happened if Eve had not eaten the fruit?

What would have happened if Noah had not built the ark?

....... and so on.

All of this is meaningless speculation because God is Sovereign. He wills and He purposes to accomplish His will as He has determined it.

(Dan 4:35 [KJB:PCE])

And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

You probably should start from the very beginning again and let the words sink in. Keep reading until you grasp the process........

1 IN the beginning GOD created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

......... and so on.

Luke 19:37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.

40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

******

Jesus tells us exactly what would happen if the multitude had decided not to give him the glory upon entering the city...the stones would cry out.

I sadly have to report this happened to me this very day. And to be honest, I didnt think twice about it until I read this post and thought about how does this scripture apply to my life then G-d showed me

I had no time for the man begging for change at the store today. No, that is not the truth, Im sick of divining addicts money!!!! There was a time I would give them money and tell them about Y-shua. Some I led to Him most others I just paid for their next fix, but no matter what my heart was not heard. What is a buck or 10 compared to a persons soul!?! I got convicted of that. Getting tired of people is the worst sin against G-d they are more precious than any $ amount James 2ed chapter look it up because I do not feel like it for exact Scripture.

If I was listing to my Father today I would have gave change, but more importantly GAVE HIM!!!!

Thank you for this post!!!!

Good post Teach and also Mcubed!

I went to a youth service retreat this weekend. Was for a nearby Christian camp grounds in the nearby mountains to help ready for winter by stacking a bunch of split fire wood and clearing some of the out lying property of some burned brush and making burn piles mainly. Got rained on, hailed on and was miserable and cold! lol I had almost backed out out from this trip last minute because by leave time Friday not all the kids who signed up to go showed yet, n to be honest... I just didn't feel I belonged being a part of this, me having no young kids involved and all.

We'd forgotten a couple items to bring along so made a quick trip to walmart and picked up the bus we were to be taking up country and by the time we were back the kid count had grown from 10 to 16, with 15 parents there. Still, I thought gosh! I'm not needed here so I'll try to weasel my way out of this trip and finally take a free weekend from work and just watch some ballgames and relax...

not a chance!

They would not allow it and made me keep my commitment! lol

What if I had backed out?

So glad they did, (if not) I wouldn't have gotten to get miserably soaked by rain, pelted by hail, shivering cold and a sore back! hehe

The positive and bestest thing was that we all became closer and shared an experience by working together side by side with a common goal, in service to the Lord helping this camp and not for ourselves. The evenings ended in a devotion where we all shared and participated and centered the day's experiences on the Lord, then finished with a good game of kick the can for the kids in attempt to tire the young n still energetic kids out for some sleep.

Thanks for sharing Mccubed & Sojourner. Nice reminders of what we should be doing...being about our Father's business.

Too many times I know I have missed out on opportunities to share the gospel because I was in a hurry or too shy to interrupt someone in my path...and knowing the Holy Spirit was prompting me. I even feel my conscience later when I reflect on what I did/didn't do.

God doesn't need me but He uses me to achieve His goals. When I don't do His will, I miss out blessings...

James 1:27

King James Version (KJV)

27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Matthew 25

31When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

41Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

God's focus is easy to forget sometimes, purity and charity are how we display Him to the world.
