Is there such a thing as a �righteous� lie and just a lie? What makes a lie righteous? Or should you never lie? What is against G-d? If a holocaust happened today would you hide a Jew and lie about it, or say yes there are here? I am in 100% agreement with IWA post about lies so am I double minded or contradictory? The general consensus among Christians is that the 9th commandment is "thou shalt not lie", but it is actually about not bearing false witness against thy neighbor, which I think is different. However, I don't think "lying" is generally pleasing to God, and there are many things that God planned for a used, but were not His standard. Jesus was born into the line of an adulterer, etc. :peace::peace: Post Reply
