What do you think of Israel in the light of the Word

I think the bible says that Israel has transcended a specific people or nation, and now anyone who believes in Jesus is part of the vine of Israel. I do think the Jewish people have a special place in the heart of God though, perhaps not a "better" place, but historically speaking, the Israelites have spent quite a bit more time with God than anyone else.
Romans 11
I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew.

"Word" does not only mean the spoken word, but also the Cause (Reason)!
Thus interpreting John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God". we also may translate as: In the beginning was the Cause (of Creation), and the Cause (of Creation) was with God, and the Cause (of Creation) was God.
So it gives a sense as appeal to the Epicureans, the philosophic trend of his time that last until our times.

In this sense Israel Jews enlighted whole world about the reason of creation which first get clear in New Testament through
1Pe 2:9 "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light"
Ezekiel 16 explains God's relation to Israel and to Gentiles and Revelation 7 shows the recover of 144.000 Jews (12.000 of each tribe) except Dan.
Israel was the good Olive Tree which graffed the wild Olive Trees, the Gentiles.
Rom 11:24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
The word Chosen: Studying the genealogy of Jesus in Lucas 3, starting from Adam we discover the First Born axiom not as by birth only but by the First Born Rights to continue the guidance of the genealogy! Jews are the descendants of Abraham who is the descendant of Shem, descendant of the Abel line.

Dear kk2014
Was that a need for you though you are Hebrew?
Does not Bible talk about the 144.000 faithful, 12.000 by each Hebrew tribe except Dan? (Rev 7:4-8). Never heard about Messianics movement in your own country?
Or maybe not accepting Paul's statement
"But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you. (Rom 10:19)?

Personally I believe the Jews are still the chosen nation and through them God the Almighty will show off his power and glory that everyone will know He is with them. I believe it is because the Jews are the people favored by God. I wont try understanding why, just that God said so. For the gentiles, there is also clear stated ways to be favored and come under the protection of God the AlmightyobedienceFEAR of the Lord

And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations; and Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the time of the Gentiles shall be fulfilled.
Luke 21:24
But we know that one day all of Israel will be saved, Romans 11:24-27, but until that time we should remember Paul's Words:
As concerning the Gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as concerning the election, they are beloved for the Father's sake.
Romans 11:28
So that I see the Jews fighting against us concerning the Gospel of Christ, but the Father still loves them, and will one day bring them back into the fold; see Zechariah 12:10.
