Sabbath 12/20/14 Alfred Station SDB Pastor Ken sermon Taking the Light Into the World John 1:11-13
In the text in chapter John, we see He is in the beginning. He was with God, He created all things, He was the source of all life and He is the light to everyone. The Word became flesh and was Jesus! Jesus was there from the beginning with God.
The Good News > He came.
Jesus left Heaven and came to earth. Earth is a mess now and was a mess back then. Jesus came to his own people, the Jewish people. It was prophesized that He would come to his own people and they would not receive Jesus. They would not let Him in the door. That is not receiving Him. Some people let Him in their door but He only got into their front parlor, their outer living room. Jesus didnt get into the inner house, into their kitchen. People we welcome, people we receive, we let into our kitchen and offer them a cup of coffee. A group of your friends may come over and there will be fifteen people standing or sitting in your kitchen. Those folk who let Jesus into their kitchen became the children of God.
There is a process of becoming a child of God. This is continuing on with Jesus being received and being let into the kitchen of your life. In this process you learn more of God and Jesus. You continue to mature as a child of God. We are born again and made children of God only by letting Jesus into the kitchen. It is not by the will of our flesh that we receive Jesus. It is not by the will of man either. It is only by the will of God. Your church denomination does not make you saved or having received Christ. You must believe in Jesus and let Him into your kitchen. It was the will of God that sent Jesus to us. God sent Jesus for us. It was the will of God. This is the only way we come to faith, believe and receive! The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.

Hello:
I believe the message that you posted is so sad,to see a man saying that 'so called ' becoming' a child of GOD is a 'process'.
A. Station:
There is a process of becoming a child of God. This is continuing on with Jesus being received and being let into the kitchen of your life.
We are born again and made children of God only by letting Jesus into the kitchen.
GNWS
A person is saved by GRACE,Grace alone nothing else,Grace is not a process,
it is the way which GOD Almighty will save people.
Faith also is of GOD,we 'FAITH' into Yeshua,FAITH is a verb.
A person IS NOT SAVED by letting Yeshua into the kitchen.
This message is about what a person must do in order to be saved, there is NO SALVATION by the works of men.
Eph 2:1 and you being dead in deviations and sins,
Eph 2:2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit now working in the sons of disobedience,
Eph 2:3 among whom we also all conducted ourselves in times past in the lusts of our flesh, doing the things willed of the flesh and of the understanding, and were by nature the children of wrath, even as the rest.
Eph 2:4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
Eph 2:5 even we being dead in deviations, He made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are being saved),
Eph 2:6 and raised us up together and seated us together in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus,
Eph 2:7 that He might demonstrate in the ages coming on, the exceeding great riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
Eph 2:8 For by grace you are saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;
Eph 2:9 not of works, that not anyone should boast;

Waiting,
I'm not 100% sure I follow some of your metaphors.
If you're saying that salvation requires continuing to follow, obey, and have fellowship with Jesus, then I agree completely. The Bible teaches all that.

"If you're saying that salvation requires continuing to follow, obey, and have fellowship with Jesus, then I agree completely. The Bible teaches all that."
Gracenotworks, the operative word there is "continuing". When we are saved by grace, if we do not follow Christ, there is no more sacrifice for sin.
Hebrews 10:26
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.
Probably just a misunderstanding, I don't think Homeschooler meant what you thought he did.

Hi Mark:
I believe Biblical salvation has and will always be because GOD Almighty Graces a person and gives that person Faith into Yeshua.
What is being put forth is that by your own efforts you can sustain the salvation which ONLY Yeshua is able to do.
So who or what are you faithing into in order to sustain the gift of Salvation Messiah Yeshua bestows to you.
Are you faithing into good works, acts of obedience, reading the Word of GOD,maybe being a good person,OR are you Faithing into Yeshua,AND Yeshua ONLY.
Do not let anything be a substitute for Yeshua, and do not let anything take the place of Faithing into Messiah for all things pertaining to Life,Faith and Salvation and Godliness, are found in Messiah ALONE.
John 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
John 10:28 And I give eternal life to them, and they shall not perish to the age, never! And not anyone shall pluck them out of My hand.
John 10:29 My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all, and no one is able to pluck out of My Father's hand.
John 10:30 I and the Father are One!
Rom 3:19 But we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those within the Law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world be under judgment to God.
Rom 3:20 Because by works of Law not one of all flesh will be justified before Him, for through Law is full knowledge of sin. Psa. 143:2
Rom 3:21 But now a righteousness of God has been revealed apart from Law, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,
Rom 3:22 even the righteousness of God through faith of Jesus Christ toward all and upon all those believing; for there is no difference,
Rom 3:23 for all sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Rom 3:24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption in Christ Jesus,
Rom 3:25 whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, as a demonstration of His righteousness through the passing over of the sins that had taken place before, in the forbearance of God,
Rom 3:26 for a demonstration of His righteousness in the present time, for His being just and justifying the one that is of the faith of Jesus.
Rom 3:27 Then where is the boasting? It was excluded. Through what law? Of works? No, but through a Law of faith.
Rom 3:28 Then we conclude a man to be justified by faith without works of Law.

Amen WaitingforJesus,
Letting Jesus into the kitchen is the sanctification process. It is also described as entering the outer court, the inner court, the inner room, and the sanctuary.
3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
Here we have the true Israel described. The men who shall stand as courtiers in the palace of the living God are not distinguished by race, but by character; they are not Jews only, nor Gentiles only, nor any one branch of mankind peculiarly, but a people purified and made meet to dwell in the holy hill of the Lord.Ps 24:3
