I grew up in a Moravian church and we were always taught that Jesus is the son of God. However as an adult I have attended Evangelical and Pentecostal churches which have taught that Jesus is God. I have found it hard to get my head around this as there are so many instances where Jesus refers to God as his father in the bible.
How does everyone else view Jesus (Son of God or is actually God?)
Messiah Yeshua,is both the Son of GOD,and the son of man,He has 2/two natures within Himself,He has both the Nature of GOD,thus He is the Son of GOD,AND He has the nature of man,as He had become a man in order to show us who the Father is,and what the Father is like.
If you have seen me,you have seen the Father.
The 2/two natures of Messiah are sinless,both as the Son of GOD,qnd the son of man.
The Holy Spirit placed Yeshua within the womb of Mary,thus we have His human nature. Being the Son of GOD,he is no less equal to the Father because He had taken the form of a man,but rather He shows forth His Omnipotance,and His Omniscience,by becoming something He is not,a man.
Jesus is equal with the Father in all things,as all things were created by Him and for His good pleasure.
Jesus has 2/two natures in order to mediate between GOD,and man in himself.
Messiah reveals to sinful man,perfect GOD because no man can see GOD and live,in Himself Messiah reveals to the Father perfect man,thus the reason for having 2/two natures.
If Messiah is not both the Son of GOD,and the son of man then His life would have meant nothing.

It's what one might call a paradox. Jesus is both the son of God and God himself. God presents himself through the form of man, becoming both 100% human and 100% God. After reading the scriptures, we can see a picture of a God who reveals himself in 3 forms all working together in perfect harmony (Trinity). If you are unconvinced of Jesus' oneness with his father you should read through the NT. The books of Colossians, Titus, and Philipians shine light on the truth of who Jesus is. Jesus and his disciple's claim that Jesus is more than a mere man leave us with 2 choices. Either we believe he is God or just that they're all crazy.

Mysteriously, Jesus is both the Son of God and "actually God."
The Son of God:
1. Jesus is the WORD that became FLESH or the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD in St John 1
2. St John 3: 16 - God gave His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON.
Actually God:
1. THE WORD that became FLESH in John 1 WAS GOD, meaning GOD became flesh - a Son. And we (Peter, James and John) beheld His glory as of the only begotten Son of God...(see Matt 17)
2. "And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life" (1 Jn 5:20)
Note: "...the Son of God" who came "...is the true God..." and there is only One God (see Eph 4: 6).
