ALL THE VEIWS ON DIVORCE AND REMARRIAGE‼️ (all I can find that’s is)

BUT WHICH one is truly biblical ⁉️⁉️

To start here are 3 but I have more to add.

1. Never Initiate Divorce,

Never Remarry Never legitimate (to initiate)

2. Sometimes Divorce,

Never legitimate

(as long as one’s

former spouse is

still alive)

Never Remarry

3. Sometimes Divorce,

Sometimes Remarry

AND there’s more on the way‼️

Been wanting to discuss these but last time I tried my threads got riddled with endless attacks that had nothing to do with the topic.

ALL THE VEIWS ON DIVORCE AND REMARRIAGE‼️ (all I can find that’s is)

Jesus never took credit for divorce nor did he give God credit for divorce. He said that Moses gave you divorce because your hearts were hard. He said anyone that marries a divorced woman commits adultery. He said that if a man divorces his faithful wife, that he causes her to commit adultery by divorcing her. He says that if a woman divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery. He says that if a man divorces his wife then marries another that he commits adultery. Paul repeated that a wife must not separate from her husband, but if she did, that she was to remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband and that a husband was not to divorce his wife. Matthew 19:10 and 1 Corinthians 7:1 suggest it is better not to marry for all these reasons. But not everyone can accept being celibate. It is not for everyone being celibate. More marriages go the way of divorce. While some may marry, no where in scripture are we instructed to marry a divorced woman. Modern teachings on marriage and divorce are very different than Bible teachings on marriage and divorce. No one goes by the Bible any more. We replace Bible teachings with other teachings. No way does the government follow the Bible in its policies on marriage or divorce. What hope does a guy have when the government is always going against Bible teachings. In the Bible, a woman was to go free without any payment of money and a guy gets to keep his house. Not so with the government. In the Bible, the husband wrote a certificate of divorce, not the wife and not the government. So, we sure are getting away from Bible teachings. Better to not marry at all.

By having two threads, you can avoid answering one.

Haha, I probably better answer both. One for the upper read and one for the bottom reader. 😇

Question for anyone: Did Jesus, who said he did not come to destroy the law, do exactly that with his comments regarding divorce for the “hardness of hearts”?

I don't much understand the question.

I think Jesus clarified that divorce was not of God, but of man. And not of God, but a thing of Moses that Moses gave because hearts were hard.

There are many false teachings about marriage and there are many false teachings about divorce.

Jesus sought to clear up some false teachings and to clarify God's stance on divorce and God's stance on marriage. Still, we seek to twist what scriptures clearly say and the arguments go on to this day. Confusion is inserted in place of clarity. But the Bible clearly says that a wife is not to separate from her husband, but if she does, she must remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband and a husband is not to divorce his wife. (1 Corinthians 7:10-11) More, the Bible teaches that any man that marries a divorced woman commits adultery. (Luke 16:18) More, the Bible says that if a woman divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery. (Mark 10:12) Always people are trying to get around these verses. Jesus said it was not this way from the beginning, but divorce came along with disobedience and has well infiltrated the church. Confusion is more taught than the Bible teachings. Right is wrong and wrong is right. So, divorce is made incidental. Kind of a "judge not lest ye be judged" thing. No one wants to please God in the matter. Do we want God to divorce us? Do we want Jesus to divorce the church? It would mean hell for all of us.

Yet, where in scripture do we find the mention of a certificate of marriage? and where in scripture do we find a marriage license? More, we find the edict that the two become one flesh. This edict is repeated with a warning in 1 Corinthians 6:16 meaning we are one with whomever we have sex. But people want to say it doesn't count without marriage license or without a certificate of marriage, but this is not what the scriptures say. We all replace the Bible with other teachings. Who is really following the Bible on the matter? The Bible tells us not to marry divorced women, still we do. No where in the Bible does the word of God ever instruct a man to marry a divorced woman. It is the opposite of what the Bible teaches. The closest we get is God telling Hosea to marry a promiscuous woman. But was she promiscuous before marriage or she began to be promiscuous after marriage? She may have been a virgin when they married, but she went the way of Israel in rebellion against God and was made an illustration for the people of God. Anyway, better to follow the Bible. If one separates, they should remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband and a guy should not divorce his wife. Yet there is Matthew 25:1 and Isaiah 4:1 and Genesis 30. No one much follows Bible teachings. It all gets twisted. Only a leader in the church is to be the husband of but one wife. Woman was made for man, not man for woman. (1 Corinthians 11:9) Never are we going back to what the scriptures teach.
