Since God doesn’t hear the prayer of the unrepentant wicked, the first prayer would be to seek the mercy and forgiveness of God.

John 9:31 - We know that God does not hear sinners, but if anyone is God-fearing and does His will, He hears him.

But there’s hope for the wicked (which is really all of us): Romans 4:5 However, to the one who does not work but trusts 👉God who justifies the ungodly👈, their faith is credited as righteousness.

Great thread by the way‼️‼️

Proverbs 3:5&6 "👉Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart👈, and DO NOT lean on your own understanding. In ALL your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."

This verse is fundamental to making wise decisions that glorify God because it comprehensively answers the question about decision making.

Ask this: what kind of decisions does a person who is seeking God with all their heart make? Obviously decisions that are based on the principle of scripture with an informed faith. That are carefully and objectively considered in such a way to glorify God.

Many Christians get upset at this but your job and your husband or wife’s name are not written in scripture but as Proverbs and other scripture provide instruction, you may work anywhere you want or marry anyone you want.

For sure, some believers might find that unsettling. But I ask: who is a person who truly seeks the glory of God gonna choose ⁉️ That’s right—another godly person‼️‼️

Many of our bad decisions are after prayer. Such is life outside the Garden of Eden.

Jesus prayed. And Jesus prayed "THY WILL BE DONE". In the prayer HE TAUGHT US TO PRAY, he prayed "OUR FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN. HOLY IS YOUR NAME. YOUR KINGDOM COME. YOUR WILL BE DONE on earth as it is in heaven. GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD. FORGIVE US AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US." That is among the most significant prayers in scripture.

LOT asked to stay in a small town that God wanted to destroy. Not everything we ask is wise. (Genesis 19:18-21)

There are prayers of thanksgiving and there are prayers in which we ask God for something. God wants that we pray to him. He regards us as HIS children. Out of respect to God, we pray to him. Jesus sought the will of his father. He called him "ABBA" which more closely translates "PAPA" or "DADDY".

I hope your prayers go well as you pray to Papa and Daddy.

Jesus always sought to please HIS PAPA.

We should too.
