Maybe they didn't; just because God never changes doesn't mean the man he created didn't change in some ways.

It's a good question to ponder-- but we may never know the answer.:excited:

I guess Eve would have to have one 'tho cause she gave birth. Right?

Just my guess, because they weren't born. Eve wouldn't have needed one to give birth because the umbilical cord is attached to the placenta on the mother's side and the abodomen in the baby, which creates the belly button.

Just my guess.

How else are we going to be able to tell who is Adam and Eve in heaven??? They will be the only two without belly buttons!!!!!

That's what I've been told by Pastors I respect, anyway.

 :dancingp:

I would say no, as Margo said. There was no placental attachment, so no need for navels.

I've always found that incidental to "how did they know to clamp off the cord and cut it?" and "poor Eve - can you imagine, going through this with no idea what was happening?"

Then I decided God would have told them.

I was very young when I pondered such things last.

I think it was Grandma who always told us that Adam and Eve had belly buttons, because that's where God poked them and said, "You're done."
